I hope they sell a ton of them and all the other models after hearing about their financial turmoil. Although their quality has been iffy, they definitely make better performing supercars imo than Ferrari and Lamborghini and I'm sure this one will be no different.

Its not a better performing car than a Ferrari. Not even close bro, in fact, not even in the same universe! The Ferrari has the Laferrari, the Ferraro FXX-K and the new F80 with 1200+ hp.

The McLarren is not a Hyper car its a super car. Ferrari has Hyper cars. Even the Senna won't reach Hyper car status as it only comes in at 700+ hp. The Senna sells for a million. F80 for $2.2 million and the Laferrari sells for close to $3 million.

I’d have to disagree with you on the point that the Senna is not a HyperCar. It most certainly is. A quick google search says quite the opposite.

That's a good looking McLaren. Can't wait to read some reviews after its release into the wild. ;) Around $3 mil and only 15 to be made. Treynor? Treynor?

McLaren "not even close" and "not in the same universe" to the performance of Ferrari? The 720S will run the quarter in 9.9 seconds at 148 bone stock for $300k while the $3M+ LaFerrari is 9.8 at 150. Ferrari has been playing catch up and still doesn't have a direct dollar for dollar performance comparison to McLaren. Ferrari absolutely wins in collectability, resale, etc etc, but if you want performance per dollar, McLaren is the ticket.

The 720s came out in 2017 and the Ferrari F8 Tributo in 2020 still doesn't beat it.

Did you forget about the Holy Grail F1, or the Hypercar that was part of the OG hypercar Trinity, the P1? Or the 1035 HP Speedtail?

Not for nothing, but a Senna will run with if not drag a LaF around any track. FXX-K is not a road car by any stretch.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Ferrari's, but McLaren is killing it as the new kid in the game.

China?
Mclaren has recently taken on large investments from the Middle East and most recently an American consortium bought a large chunk of the program. Not sure about any China money. Does it matter though?

They are killing it but they are not on par with Ferrari and I stand by that statement 100%.

Ferrari Hyper cars are what im referring to and a Mclaren 720s is NOT a hyper car and neither is the F8. At the Hyper car level Ferrari is the superior car.

But you are still wrong. When the LaFerrari came out it directly competed with the P1 and 918, all three were the pinnacle of hypercars for those years. Whatever Ferrari has available McLaren has something that is comparable even up to the privately owned race car program. Ferrari is considered the better brand overall with greater quality and collectibility, but as far as competition goes, McLaren and Ferrari are direct competitors.

What car can you buy from Ferrari today that competes with a Speedtail? SF90 is it. Not sure if that makes your cut for a hyper car
LaF has been dead for like 3 years now. Tough to keep riding that train and you still haven’t acknowledged the P1 which is a direct competitor to the LaF and kept up with it in every metric.

Sooo you're saying that .1 and 2mph in the quarter mile is what separates a supercar and a hypercar? Or is it the $2.7m it takes to get that .1 and 2mph? Please explain.

Bro the P1 is not legal here in the US so I dont even consider that as an option. Its legal in the European Union only so u can stop with the P1 nonsense its not a street car.

Hypercars can be registered for the street and are not dedicated "Race Cars" on the street.

There were (75) P1 GTR's produced. Those are 4.5 million one-off race cars for the street bro.

The P1 GTR lacks all of the creature comforts today’s hypercars enjoy such as glass side windows, insulation, and sound deadening because its not a street car its a RACE CAR!

The 765 is the only competitor for the SF90 and the SF90 is just in another league imo. Both make awesome cars but Ferrari is still King and still superior to the the best Mclaren u can buy for the street!
