hey ladies and gentlemen. its been awhile since I have been on here. we had a baby, and purchased a new house so we have been super busy!! I am on Instagram more often if anyone wants to chat. ( @03svtjmc ) figured id make a post anyways !!

I am super excited to share that I pulled the powerglide and its for sale which can be found under cobra parts for sale on here! but the car is going back to a stick shift ! I purchased a T56 magnum and it is currently at liberty gears getting faceplated, gear treatment, input shaft sensor, and squirters to make sure the front of the gearset stays lubricated under heavy acceleration at the track! I purchased a ram long arm clutch as well so there is a lot of adjustment with the weights and base pressure settings. I don't plan on going any slower with the stick when sorted out and some practice driving the car after the changes. I put the car on the dyno a couple months ago and it made 1,206/1,190 to the wheels through the powerglide on 31lbs of boost/ 13 degrees of timing on pump e85. still a Romeo iron block, factory bore and crank, molnar rods, diamond pistons, Livernois ported heads with todd warren spec cams. I took it to the track this fall and unfortunately the track was not the best that day. had issues with spinning. the best pass I was able to get was...
60ft- 1.50
1/8- 5.49 @137
1/4- 8.35 @ 171

ill try to keep updates coming as I get the stick shift back in there and chipping away back to where I was with the exception of... BANGING GEARS! pretty excited for having the nice drivability back with 5th and 6th gear on the highway. hope all is well and hope everyone has a great holiday !!

What made you go back to a stick? If you wanted overdrive why not get one of the later model autos?

Holy cow, that's one over the top Mustang. IMPRESSIVE! That 8.35 @ 171 1/4 mile time is super impressive. Beast!

Stock powerglide case was getting iffy at that power level. And there was a few reasons. So many turbo auto cars going fast. There is only a hand full in the bottom 8’s or 7’s, couple of my buddy’s like Taylor baker, Stephen Floyd and minion have had huge success with these setups. Plus it’ll drive nice on the street. The glide would get hot cruising it. Buying all the best parts $$ can buy for the most part so I’m excited to drive this thing. The faceplated trans dome of these fast guys say is a game changer. Takes shifts so smooth and fast at high rpm’s.

.
Beautiful build! Why the switch back to a stick?

I don’t have Instagram, but follow you on YouTube & now here. Post on one of those platforms. Nasty setup! Look forward to seeing how the stick works at the track.

I totally understand your giddiness with switching from the powerglide back to a stick. And a beefed up Magnum T-56 at that. Can't wait to hear what you get at the track when the mods are completed.

I'd love to hear more about the whole process- what upgrades it gets, who does it, and how it performs on the track and the street. I've left my turbo car stick for the sake of being a true street car, but I know it's a huge handicap for it. The 6R80 swap has been all too tempting (though I think I'll probably give that a try in the Fairmont.)

And they drive Minion on the street? That's crazy.

I love the faceplated trans but it makes me a little nervous cause that shit will go into gear, any gear.

I considered a PG for my ride. What was it that u didnt like about the PG other than getting hot and what is the weight difference between the PG and the T56?

How long does 1st gear last? Meaning, at what maximum speed can u go in first gear before going into 2nd?
