Seriously...? Go to any Porsche, gtr, viper, r8, huracan, mclaren, zr1/z06 forum and you’ll see just how popular 60-130 is. If you were to call any of the big performance shops and ask them what their xyz performance package runs 60-130, they’d have an answer for you immediately. Just look up street car takeover or shift sector and see how popular roll race events have become. YouTube and every performance car forum site is littered with videos of cars roll racing. 60-130 is a direct correlation of how well a car will perform in said race.
You sound like a dinosaur with tunnel vision.

And slamming on the gas to go from 60-130 shows driving skill how? You sound like a 12 year old YouTube racer

Explain to me how it’s a ton different than the majority of the new cars from a stop. Most everything has advanced launch control, awd or we put on drag radials/slicks, and dual clutch or automatic transmissions. There’s literally a video of a guy in a 911 turbo drinking a coke while hitting 0-60 in mid 2 sec and low 10 sec 1/4 bone stock. @gofast15 can attest to the ease of 1/4 mile runs in that r8 he had. Minimal effort and running badass times. Brake, mash gas, hood on. Lol.
I never said a single thing about driving skill being needed on a 60-130 run (unless driving a manual obviously). It is a great measure of a cars ability while taking out human error, track prep, launching, etc. nothing more, nothing less. Geez.
Not sure where all the hate/pushback is coming from. Only on this site...and I’m quite far from a 12 year old YouTube racer. I’ll be sure to give the next gt500 pure hell the next time I see a 60-130 time or when he’s roll racing. Unskilled youtube racer I’ll call him. Lol

I don’t care for roll racing nor do I own a gt500 so no sweat off my back to whatever you want to call anyone.
But if people want to claim world records then it’s best to do it by measures that have been used for generations, I.e. a drag strip or a road course where the actual performance level of a car is determined. And all the cars you mentioned are put through those performance tests wayyyy before a roll race. Just sayin.

Not at all do I care about the op’s world record claim, nor do I disagree necessarily. I’m only referring to the 60-130 and the usefulness of it. That’s all. I actually enjoy drag racing and roll race events. The only time I had my zr1 at the dragstrip (Bristol thunder valley), the track prep was so bad I spun through 3 gears. I learned zero about my car or how it compares to others. 2 hours one way and a wasted evening. However, I can go outside right now and do a 60-130 pull measured on dragy and know exactly where my car is at or how it compares to other cars.

I haven’t posted anything on any of my cars. Lol. Mid 6 sec with da 6700 in my c6zr1. Same as my brothers head cam gen v viper. C6zr1 is my daily driver. I’ve run mid 5’s in my 6sp 911 turbo with E85 and upgraded turbos. Should get 5.1-5.2 if I can run at a sub 2k da. My brother waiting on return of his 911 turbo with xona turbos. Made 950awhp. Should be mid 4’s 60-130 given the extra 175awhp over my car.

Covid then WV winter cut my runs short. I’ve made about 4 good passes then bad weather started. So spring I’m gonna hit it hard before the temps get up. And I send the zr1 for cams, ported blower, and e85 in March. No clue what that will do as far as times go.

Is he basing his WR claim off being the highest in that category, for that car, on the dragy app? Or did I miss something?

This thread is full of fail.

FWIW, if you have the draggy app, they have a whole sub-community where you can upload videos of your runs and compare them with others with the same car or mods, etc.
They keep a leaderboard of different models and makes, etc, as well as a video feed to view others results.

For those who cant understand how this can help a driver or how its useful data, ask to see a pull from a manual trans driver and you'll be able to see exactly how slow he shifts and how much time he loses compared to a speed shift or a proper Auto trans shift, etc.
If you are into going fast and can't understand how to correlate a g meter to how your car performs, then you should not be posting in this thread at all.

As for world records....who cares? You'd think he claimed world record for most ballin' SVTP'er on the planet the way everyone is reacting. Damn.

Out of curiosity, what are the specs on your and your brother's 911s? One of my older brothers is a Porsche enthusiast, he has four... He recently had his 997TT done... I would have to get exact specs from him, but know he did a 3.8L with Xona turbos.

OP, sorry to hijack your thread!

He did 3.8, xona xr1000’s, id1700’s, and fuel system.he made 930/800 awhp/awtq before his new exhaust. I have 63.5’s, e85, 3.8, id1300’s. I don’t have the fuel system or xonas. Made 773/803 awhp/awtq. I replaced rods and did 3.8 with the idea of maybe doing the xonas later. Not sure until he gets his back and we can do some direct comparisons on street and track. I didn’t get to do a single event this year. Something about a pandemic...lol

Lol. I’ll put some stuff up this spring. Just bought a house and building a bigger garage addition. I’ll get all the cars in one place and get some pics up hopefully very soon. Dragy allows for some easy videos that’s for sure. I’ll try to find some old pics and put up. I like anything fast that holds good value. Lol
