Battery

I need a new battery. Can't seem to find any info on gel cell batteries. Any recommendations or should I just get a battery at the dealership?

Have you looked into Odyssey Batteries? They’re AGM batteries. Pricey, but good stuff.

I've always gone with Motorcraft.

I’ve pretty much ran Motorcraft in all of my vehicles. I did venture out and do Optima, but have since replaced it per the recommendation of the folks that make my alternator. They recommend a standard battery.

Great choice! Just out of curiosity, how old was your old battery, and what brand?

Motorcraft, just replaced mine for only the second time in 17 years (and 36,000 miles)! Keeps my stock Terminator looking stock. I also still have the blanket around my battery which may have contributed to its long life.

Same here "Motorcraft" on both of my Stangs. I've replaced the battery on my 99GT twice, alternator once, and have owned it since new. My Cobra has had the batt replaced once in 9 years alternator twice

I put in the best Motorcraft battery they offered in my car back in 2009 and its still going strong. Probably will do the same again when the time comes.
