So did I. All 3 items are on the way back. I will keep up with this thread to see how all this works out. Curious to see what changes are made and how it all fits

In your guys' opinion would my buddy be better off waiting to see what BMR comes up with or should we bite the bullet and break out the welder and grinder?

Damn I'm glad I read this thread I was really considering getting this unit and selling my BNIB MM stuff since I've moved to an area where I don't think I'm gonna clear the driveway easily going in and out. As it is with the current 1" drop I scraped going down the incline to the garage. Coilovers with a nice looking ride height is probably gonna be even lower... Solution was going to be a K member with spring perches and air springs so I can flick it to stock 4x4 height going in and out of my house and over the many speed humps here in town. The BMR seemed like it would be perfect. Steeda is too damn much money and the tubular ones aren't durable enough for some of the roads here... I may stick with the stocker and just suck it up removing it and putting it back in for longtubes... Or BMR will make it right and release a V2 unit in the next few months... I just worry about getting old stock from someone like LMR or wherever, suppose that is fixed by ordering directly from BMR?

F. I have one of the non premium versions sitting around here I was going to use when I drop my new engine in.

I can't believe they have admitted to some it was a widespread production issue, but they haven't reached out to customers to keep them in the loop.

I think it was last season on Bitchin Rides they worked on a 70's Cadillac where they used a set of shocks that had a built in air spring to get over speed bumps and such. It was supposed to be like the Porsche (I think?) set up where you push a button, the car pops up an inch or so, you go over the bump, then push the button and the car settles back down. I'm sure it's $$$, but might be worth looking into.

As for BMR, they're going to send my buddy a replacement K at some point so we can swap it out, then he sends the old one back. With the stipulation that if he doesn't send the old one back within a certain time frame he has to pay for the second K member. Which makes sense to me.

I think they're still trying to get a handle on things. Plus no one has said if it affects the non premium versions. So far everyone that has issues has the premium version. So you might not have any issues.

Fingers crossed, but I'd think BMR could compare the jigs and stuff they used and know pretty quickly whether it was one or both impacted right?

I did reach out to Dion to see if they have any idea about the non premium version being impacted after catching up on this thread. Will share if I hear anything, but I don't commonly get a response from BMR to emails so I may just call in when I have a chance.

Well I did some more research on the kit and it also requires stock A arms. That is really not a huge deal to me as I can just install GW Del-A-Lum forward offset bushings in the stockers and X2 balljoints and either keep it with the stock K or wait for BMR to get their shit together and run the stock A arms with a BMR K.

But yeah exactly what you are talking about is what I'd like to be doing. Stock ride height in the garage, roll it out of the house and hit the main ride height setting and go. There are speed humps and shit roads all over the place here in South Spain as well as some of the best highways and main roads I have ever driven. What happens when the Eurozone pays for the highways but the local economy is responsible for the "county roads" and town roads lol.

Sorry to hear these didn't work out for everyone..

I don't think you can go wrong with the MM stuff, I have their full front suspension and it fits like a glove... The only thing I've had issues with is the drive side coil over rubbing the frame rail lip.. But I'll just have to clearance it a bit more when i get a chance.

Getting my refund processed too. I had ordered my MM stuff at the beginning of the month. They said then about a month out. They said they have never been busier since COVID. Everyone home and getting that sweet government COVID cash.

^Just saw this now. I'll respond shortly.

As far as the Covid cash... I don't know of anyone getting anything except unemployment and that's set to run out in a month. New admin will probably get a stimulus passed or maybe Trump will do it outgoing but not holding my breath.

RMA’d mine yesterday, they gave me a prepaid label. Thankfully I was able to locate a big enough box for free as I had tossed the original. Looking forward to the corrected one...I’ll post/measure when I get it.
