Won't deny that it is quite generic. It's just not 99% predictable like F1.

F1 is in serious trouble. It's more sizzle than steak at this point. All glitz and glam, with pathetic actual racing. It's really more parading around than anything, with a few minutes of actual racing sprinkled in across all the cars not in 1st. Ugly looking cars (they look like they are 40ft long), crappy engines, terrible tires, etc. They need help.

Amazing they are the fastest they have ever been in spectacularly boring fashion. Tech is their but the team imbalance is apparent and doesn't make for racing. Curious to see how Aston does and if an exciting midfield emerges. Hamilton will just drive off with every record while being irrelevant to the actual sport.

At least he went out with a bang...

Ah Jeez, too soon?

But yea I'm a big Raikkonen and Vettel fan so not very exciting. Curious how Aston will do next year.

Ya, it will be a sad day when Kimi leaves F1. I am excited for Vettel at racing point/Aston Martin next year.

If you haven't watch Indy racing, I'd recommend it. Honestly, it's far more exciting open wheel racing than the product F1 is fielding right now.

I know it sounds blasphemous, but F1 could learn a lot from Indy car right now.

I agree. Don't see why everyone is hating on it. It is actually good racing. I have watched Indy for a few years now. Followed Rossi when he got to race 5, or 6 races with manor, and then decided I would start watching Indy after his switch. Went to the last 2 races (that fans were allowed) in Portland.

I saw it live too. It was a nasty crash but so glad he’s ok. You could tell he was in a lot of pain from the fire.

I read an interesting article by an engineer and track designer that thought the guard rail did exactly what it was supposed to do. Imagine if the car had hit a concrete barrier or a tire wall. Penetrating the barrier and bending the posts dissipated a tremendous amount of energy. Maybe that is why he stayed conscious.

I can't imagine snapping the car in half was planned out. I mean it does dissipate a shit ton of energy but at the cost of a huge fire ball. I kinda thought every track switched to Tecpro at this point.

It was better than concrete but it could also have decapitated him, if it wasn't for the halo.

A lot of changes to the American Haas Team next year. Grosjean’s and Magnussen are being replaced. Looking forward to seeing Fittipaldi’s grandson and Schumacher’s Son in the driver’s seat.

I've watched a few races recently and I agree- boring. The cars are ugly, don't sound good, and Hamilton wins everything.

The Le Mans style races with the prototypes and the GTE cars is more interesting I find.

Yeah I guess COVID can be positive lol
Hamilton is good. But he's been in the best car for the better part of a decade.

To compare his achievements to Schumacher is a joke.

Schumacher had a good car but not always the best. In times when more than one other team had a chance to win.

Add in his BLM crap and I'm out. I'll cheer for anyone else. I've always enjoyed the underdog story.
