I can completely understand the power and speed, drag cars are doing it all the time, what boggles my mind is trying to keep a hold of this thing while drifting on 2 lane roads when he does the gymkhana stuff!
Thats gotta be CrAzY!

Both cars on slicks on a prepped surface is what I want to see.

Also curious what was different on the RS3 for the 4th run. Did he spray or did Ken just not give a **** on the last run since he'd already won the best 2 out of 3?

That RS3 has been 8.0 with 125hp shot previously . I think it would be a good race on a prepped track but I don't think car with sequential trans can be launched hard .

1st run was boost only
2nd run with 75hp shot
3rd run [ nitrous system multifunction and it didn't spray]
4th run with 125 shot

I am more impressed with the Hoonicorn. It was never designed to drag race and going up against a dedicated drag car and won. Bitch is bad ass!

I heard a rumor the 4 rotor didn't do well. In the grad scheme of things the car is still pretty new and I'm sure it had some bugs.

Wasn't that car rated at like 2000hp. Could be lots of traction/suspension/tuning issues i guess

All wheel drive, sequential transmission, 1400hp and Toyo TQ drag radials(at least after the first run). Its not a dedicated drag car but its nearly the perfect recipe.

They can be launched hard. I have a dual clutch in my Golf R and it has launch mode and smokes anything else ive ever gone up against from a dig on the street. Thing is freakn fast for a DD! Only weighs 3200 lbs tho.

That RS3 is no joke tho and its a full tilt build but shit open the hood and it looks dam near stock lol. 8.0 in that car which is anything but a real lightweight by drag car standards coming in at 3300 lbs is just bonkers! But shit if my Turbo Mustang weighed 3300 lbs it would be really ****ing fast lol

U dont need a 1000+hp to utilize launch control on a Dual Clutch bro! Plenty of Golf R's go high 10's at 125-127 mph. Maybe thats not fast to u but thats a quick DD.

I guess uve never heard of the Porsche 911, Nissan GTR, BMW M3. They all can make well over a 1000 hp when built properly and they are all DSG that have launch control. U seem to be clueless about DSG transmissions.

guessing your Golf R doesn’t have 1000hp+

He was saying the sequential transmissions can't be launched hard, not the dual clutch. I have no idea if its true or not, seems like Ken Block was hitting it pretty hard off the line.
