Only one person in this thread was selling a non gold ticket car lol.
You aren't wrong I guess lol. Although I still don't think its in any way normal to get one without a GT. Ill bet 99.99% will still go on calling a CFTP a golden ticket car.

In the end, doesn't really matter haha.

A "Golden Ticket" for a car is the dumbest shit anyone could utter out of their mouth. It's embarrassing to read let alone see a poll and grown ass men arguing about it's legitimacy.

New GT500 is awesome.

It really would be interesting to see how these cars Nick referenced happened without a GT allocation for them.

My guess would be intervention at some level within Ford getting it approved for production.

I can tell you on my 14 my dealer didn't have allocation. I negotiated the price below sticker and he agreed to sell it if the order was picked up. I was able to use some contacts to get the order approved and the car was built. I've got a nice stack of emails about the order from Ford management and it finally getting approved and built. The dealer was shocked it was done and it had nothing to do with the dealer's rep.

Tom,
I think that Ford decided they were not going to get to the 1375 CFTP production number they had planned on and because of the extended model year they decided to take advantage of the CFTP orders still in the order bank that were unallocated and unscheduled/material hold, so they decided to go through the orders and approved some of these cars for production.

I am basing this on my experience with my 2013 GT500. I ordered the 13 in May 2012 and was told that I had their one and only allocation. 2 months later I find out that the sales manager had used the only allocation for a car for stock. Now I am sitting on the side of the road without an allocation.

On Nov 19, 2012, I just get back from another dealer after ordering a 2014 and I get a call from the original dealer and he asked me if I still wanted the 2013 and he said that he got a last minute allocation through an allocation lottery. I decided to go with the 2013.

Normally the dealer Rep would notify them if they were not going to get a CFTP because they did not have an allocation and advise the dealer to change the order to a car that could be built. But there were Reps that didn't do their job and let the order stay in the order bank. This would account for the unallocated CFTP orders that were still in the order bank and available for consideration.

They are easy to remove. I normally ask the dealer to not put their badge on my purchased car. They usually comply. If not, or if it got stuck on before I could ask them not to do it, it is easy to remove. Not a big deal.

Just curious. Are dealer badges ALWAYS stick on?
Yes. I have never seen one leaves holes.
But at a 149k would you want to deal with a sticker peeling? Hoping that it leaves no damage? Its not like its a used car max car.
It's not going to damage the car lol

The only dealer sticker I ever left on a car was my 2014 Mini Cooper S. The dealer's sticker was put on the lower right side of the hatch glass and it looked like a rally decal. The design was done well. So I left it on. On my other vehicles, removing the badges/decals was very easy, and left no residue.
