Are you flipping joking? This is how stupid this country has become?

Good thing they don't sell mil-spec coatings to anyone but police and military. Gotta prevent the population from coating crap that could......what?

Some of those paints are highly toxic, thats the reason. Years ago people didn't even want to touch the stuff in one of our cabinets.

Not sure how much better the product was, just that it had warnings all over it.

So explain how a LEO is somehow specially trained in applying Cerakote, if that is the case. What week of police academy do they cover "Special Tactics and Cerakote Applications"?

So I'm shooting from the hip and throwing my 2cents that may not be worth anything....I work for an environmental contractor. We purchase and use a lot of special chemicals not available to johnny public. We are able to get these by having an applicator license. Our environmental safety and health person gets the required training for this license. I'm curious if this is the idea being mentioned. Or it has nothing to do with it. I'm too lazy to look any of it up

if you knew what mil spec really meant you probably wouldn't want it.
Cheapest to produce with the highest mark up, made by whatever business was owned by a family member to the person making the selection/whichever company gave the best kickback?

What did I win? Hopefully nothing mil-spec

I doubt the validity of any of that. I just checked their site and can't find anything about it. I just ordered some Burnt Bronze earlier this month as a regular person and coated some headers. There are several firearm manufacturers who use this exact color as well on some of their rifles.

Said Mil-Spec headers:

" Mil-Spec is the specifications that the military has set for that particular component. Most times the component’s design rights are owned by the government. These designs are then made by various companies to the specs needed to sell to the Department of Defense and it’s contractors. "
