So installed a new diff last year. Ford performance trac lok limited slip to be exact. Filled w synthetic gear oil and some ford friction modifier. I decided to do a burnout for the first time with the new diff and i noticed it did a 1 tire fire :(. What do u guys think could be the cause?

That’s strange. I mean there’s not a whole lot to it. A spring and some discs. Did you take a pic before the install by any chance?

Can’t recall the correct oil but I think it has the friction modifier in it already? Doubt that’s the issue

When replacing discs, you soak them over night in the friction modifier.

Was it a very short burnout? Maybe try rolling into it and see if it acts differently.

Pretty much can only be a diff problem unless you broke a half shaft. It is possible to rip the splines out and not see anything externally. maybe pull the cover off and it might be an obvious problem. Did you do the install yourself or farm it out to a shop?

You don’t need to take it out to work on the clutch pack. Take out the pinion shaft and you’re there.

Doing the job yourself means you did it with more care and attention than a shop likely would have applied, very possibe it's a parts failure issue rather than an install issue. Was there any noise from the diff prior to the burnout?

I would check on hotcobra03's advise.
I see a lot of new IRS pics with oil leaks. Axle not seated inside the carrier and the seal has no surface to seal to.
This also means the axle splines may not be engaged in the side gear spline.
This will be obvious if you compare axle depth, side to side.
good luck,
