Opinions on my RXT with 1k-1500 miles

Pulled it tonight and I personally feel this is a little excessive, but i could be wrong.
It grabbed fine with no indication of issues. Just typical chirping that twin discs tend to do if you feather them too much.

I gotta look at it again, but it seems like the sides facing the middle friction plate are more worn
Is that plate a diff material?
There is some grooving starting on the outside part of the plate.

Had you considered sending them to the Mfg. ??

I emailed McLeod last night for info as I think this is not right.
Wanted opinions though as I am sure it is “normal” or “my fault”.
I could be wrong, but just bracing myself.

McLeod responded back this is perfect textbook wear and to throw it in and give it the sauce with 100% confidence

Like I said no feeling there was an issue driving it. I just did not expect it to look like that. Learn something new every day!

That is actually perfect text book wear.



The disc facing mfg. designed the material to score its drive service so that there is surface texture for the disc to grab onto when under a load.



It may look ugly but I promise it was designed to work like that.
