Had to do it just for the peace of mind, plus it's 20lbs. lighter and much stronger than the crappy two piece. No vibration at all and really no more noise. Even at 150 mph smooth as butter, and the same at 55. It does spin up a little quicker, my MT82 appreciates it. If your thinking about it, just do it. FYI Dana Spicer makes this shaft for FP, with a HP rating of 940 and a torque rating of 4231. Me and a friend do it in a hour and 20, much easier than doing it yourself, especially when socking the bolts down, I was spinning the tire and engaging the handbrake. You do have to reuse the 12mm 12 pt. bolts or opt for new ones at the tranny flange, I went new, 11 bucks and change for the 4. Would have been nice if they were included, all the other bolts were.

Glad you like it. I did an aluminum driveshaft in one of my prior muscle cars. It definitely made a difference, vibration wise.

Same, had mine for a few years. The mid mount bearing thump is gone and that was huge for me,although it does transmit a little more NVH into the cabin, I also have LCA and LCA brackets MGW etc etc.

It's a relief really, I now can hammer on it a bit here n there with confidence. Next I'm gonna go with the Blowfish bracket, really all I need to tighten things up. I still can't believe the GT350 and the R come with steel two piece driveshafts.

Anyone know what the Spicer part number is?

M91196 used the actual Spicer DS for his install. I don't know what difference there is between the Spicer and FR shaft. Both are made by Dana Spicer.

Just fyi for you guys , ford performance doesnt actually make anything. Just like motorcraft doesn't make anything. It's all subbed to companies to make and ford throws thier label on it.

I work for a HD truck OEM so I was able to order using those channels, everyone acces their crate axles for their Jeeps at work too....nice perk and it saves a few bucks.
They will be the same as the reboxed ford shaft.

150 mph, hopefully you did this on a track somewhere and not on public roads.

That's why I was asking because I'm in the automotive world too

I put the CF one in mine. One of the best mods I ever made. Ppl say it only weighs like 1 pound more than Aluminum why pay the extra money? The Aluminum was a huge improvement over the stock tho.

All I can say is I had an aluminum one in it and swapped for the CF one and can tell u for sure it accelerates better and even quieter and less vibration than the Aluminum one. Plus its rated for 1500 hp. The Aluminum one was only rated to 900 hp and im well past that now but im sure it can handle a 1000+ hp NP.
