Look again my friend. As I said, they are the same cover (for the respective model) and both go to the floor. The black one is on the car as it sits on the concrete. The red one is on the car as it is up in the air and as such the wheels hang down lower than normal.

So, in reading the bulletin, the Carbon Fiber Handling Package is the Handling Package we currently have plus black-painted CF wheels and the strut mounts?

Tom
Am I wrong or didn’t the base handling pack cars already get the strut mounts? I thought they got the aero bits, oil separator and adj strut mounts?
So the new CFHP is just adding the black painted CF wheels?
The real question is the wheel design. Will it be the 350R painted CF wheels or the ‘20 CFTP design just painted?
TBD although I’d love to see a new design.

Base with HP never "officially" got the plates included.

Regarding the wheels - has to be a 20" wheel, so...

Facepalm. I should have thought of the 20” requirement. So even more I hope it’s a new design not just painted CFTPs!

Has anyone heard anything about the infamous Golden Ticket being required on the 2021 CFTP or CF Handling Package?

Personally, I think they should separate the 2021 GT500 from the 2021 GT500 CFTP and go the route of the GT350 and GT350R. GT500 and GT500R, they really are 2 different cars.

I am expecting the same exact rim as the CFTP we know only black, that way they don't have to throw away all the rims that don't have a good CF pattern in them. Pretty rims go on the CFTP cars. Ugly rims go to the paint room and to the CFHP cars.

@Tob -

Do you think we will see more Cars at MSRP (No ADM) in 21? Right now I see about 680, 2020 models for sale across the U.S..

I'm interested in a Twister Orange - base car, no stripes with Black roof. If I have to wait another 12 months I will to not pay any ADM, also fine with a low mileage one of course.

Doubtful.

EDIT: I'll emphasize.

Yes, MSRP deals will be out there. They were out there for the MY20. MSRP deals WILL NOT be the norm for the MY21s.

I was going to suggest asking Nick but he beats me to the punch every time.

Everything in the world has been so upside down lately it is difficult to predict anything with certainty. With the program fee going up and now covering 2 years I can see dealers standing their ground with respect to pricing. Bottom line, get on the phone and call every dealer you can. It may take some work but you'll find a good deal out there eventually.

Mid year, June/July these cars will be on the Ford Family price plan. I think the 5000 or so guys with more money than brains have already bought cars. In late 08 dealerships in Texas had lots of GT500s for sticker (or better)

Thanks @Tob - @SSSSSSSSSSSSVT - & Nick. I have a number(price range) and will wait it out until I find the deal, realistically, won't be ready until Summer anyway.

Dream on. The last Shelby that was eligible for any of Fords Plans was the 2012.

Meh, a lot of Shelby buyers want manual transmission cars. And what’s the point of a mustang with no rear seat?

There are plenty of Shelby's with manual transmissions, some with automatics, and now some with DCT's. If somebody wants a manual they can go buy one, nobody is stopping them. I wanted a '20 with the DCT and I did just that, I went out and bought one.

Are you confused as to what purpose a RSD serves? Because nothing has changed in all these years.

I've already seen a couple Twister Orange that are used. A CFTP car is to much, both Price and Options, for what I want. I'd be scared to death with those Rims,LOL!! Plus, the Wing just isn't for me, awesome car though.

I dont want Recaros either, look good but I want the comfort seats. Stiff back at my age already.

No confusion here. I get pony car road racing. I also get 0.1% of the CFTP cars are going to race competivly so I don’t understand taking the back seat out of all of them from factory. Just another bone head decision by ford IMO.
