I'm looking to purchase new shifters for a T56 and T3550. MGW is my primary interest since I love it on my 04's T56. When I bought the MGW (2008) there was only once choice for a handle. Now I see they offer 3 different kinds (Race, Standard, Comfort).

Is the "Standard" handle the same as the old school MGW that I bought in 2008?

Should I consider the comfort/race? I'm not looking to purchase spare handles that I'll never use- I'll install/position it once and enjoy.

I do believe the Standard is the same handle as the original. I want to say it used to say that on the MGW site.
I'm looking to possibly try the race handle, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I would go with standard. it has a lot of adjust ability and you will get a good position with it no problem.

Thank you, George @MGW. Any discounts for multiple purchases or shall I wait until Black Friday? :)

Thanks, George @MGW. I'll get on the site and place the order. May call you about shift knobs too.

Was looking to order just a race handle, but just saw the shipping was $9, is there another form of shipping?

The MGW Gripper Race Knob compares to the Pistol Grip of the old Chrysler/Dodge era, in the way that the hand grips the knob......imho.

If you are discussing something different with the "handle" discussion, disregard my reply.

@MGW - Order placed for two MGW shifters for the T3550 and T56. Super happy you had a shifter for the 3550 since it wasn't as common as others.

Hopefully you can offer your gripper knobs in a 2.25" diameter in the future like we discussed.

I have the cylindrical knob like pictured above, and it is awesome BTW. Have the standard gripper ball knob as well and prefer the cylindrical now.

Ha! I have zero interest in trying a new style of shifter knob despite the awesome quality of the one you have :).

I’ve been running an old school FatKnob for 20yrs and recently had two more shifter balls custom made to match the FatKnob size for my other cars. They are simple round shift knobs in 2.25” diameter with no jamb nut or stem showing.
