Didn’t know this but KB made a 2.0 for the 03,04. I have an opportunity to buy one with an updated snout . My question is does anyone know if they any good? Will it make as much power as my Ported Eaton and do they scream like the 2.2?

If you can get it for cheap it might be worth a gamble. But you can get big whipples for good prices now also. Just worth a thought.

If you can get a serial number I'd cal KB yourself and see what they say.

Hey buddy . I contacted the guy selling it and asked if he meant to say 2.2 in the listing . He said no when he sent it to KB to have the upgraded snout done , Carlos at KB checked the serial number and said it’s a 2.0 and they are rare because the 2.2 was getting finished being built not long after they offered the 2.0 . So according to KB it is in fact a 2.0

I just want a screamer . I don’t think the Whipples are loud or I’d buy a new 2.3 and be happy

I’ve got a 2.2 going up for sale soon. Can make it a package with KB/Accufab throttle body and FIC 1000 injectors. Reason for a change was a Gen 4 Whipple 2.9 crusher

So a little research the 2.0 did exist but I can’t find anymore than that KB will rebuild them.

That comes from their site but I can’t find anymore info on this blower specifically either nor had I heard of it till now. It seems to be a auto rotor unit so it “should” be like the 2.2 gen 1 units that were the notorious screamers... but not having much of any info on this blower it’s a gamble and a rare unit.

Could you give me an idea of what you’d be asking for everything except for injectors ? If it’s reasonable I’d hold off on buying this one for now

I would still call KB and confirm the owner's claim. He should have no objection to you double-checking. If he won't give you the Serial Number, walk away. JMO.

What's a bit strange to me if that he told you that when he sent the blower to KB, (Carlos) checked the serial number and told the owner it was a 2.0. Seems strange they'd check the serial number and tell the owner it was a 2.0, unless the owner's paperwork said it was a 2.2. Which could be. The pics above show a 2.0 version but doesn't state the '03-'04 Cobra got a 2.0. But....here's a quote from DIYFord.com and MRE-Books.com. " Kenne Bell 1998-2001 5.4L SVT Lightning, 2.0L, 96+ hp Supercharger Upgrade, available in satin, black, or optional polished." So according to what I saw on MRE-Books.com regarding the Kenne Bell models, that 2.0L was only made for the '98-'01 Lightning.

Also, the Lightning blower has a top fed inlet which would cause a hood clearance issue on a 2003-2004 Cobra. The Lightning to Terminator swap would not be an easy, direct swap.

I wouldn't say they are screamers if that is what you are after.

Here's some video on my T Bird with a 2.0 Auto Rotor spun to the max recommended RPM. Made 24psi on my V6 and dyno'd 450hp.
