Well that was painful to watch. Cold tires + TC/SC off + 800 HP + low driver skill + no margin on road = ouch. Fortunately he didn't hit anyone else in the process of wrecking.

For those new to this sort of video, the key error was too much initial countersteering input coupled with lifting off the throttle. The throttle lift transfers weight and traction to the front wheels, which will then turn the car rapidly in whatever direction you have them pointed. You can see the moment it starts to happens in the video if you go frame-by-frame.

You could see his first move was vastly over corrected.... thus sending the rear out even worse.
Cars have so much power now days... gotta be sensible.

Yup, exactly that. Look at which way the front wheels are pointed when the driver lifts. Before the lift, car was mildly fishtailing... afterward, snap oversteer.
