I really should do the whole ftbr kit. I only have the aluminum diff bushings, lpw diff cover and 9/16 subframe bolts. Those have been on my car for 7-8 years. Zero wheel hop.

I also have h&r race springs and bilstein b8 rear shocks.

I definitely hear gear noise and the Toyo R888 tires create noise as well.

Nothing is quiet with my car. Drivetrain noise from the t56 is another one. Windows down, stereo up!

For those of you who installed your own kit, can you shed some light on my situation.

Didn’t have time so had a FTBR recommended shop do it. Just got the car back, diff fluid everywhere and NO grease fittings installed.

Since you are supposed to freeze the bushings to get them in,I’m guessing there is no way to get them out with destroying them to install the missing fittings?

Sorry for the hijack, looking to capitalize on an active thread on the topic.

You don't have to freeze the bushings to get them in. I didn't, but then I had access to a press. If you're careful you should be able to get them out without destroying the bushings.

That "recommended" shop should be named and shamed.
Those grease fittings and the bushing design are what set the FTBR kit apart from the MM kit.
Wow!!

Don’t worry. A mis aligned drive shaft, loose diff bolts, marred caster/camber plates, use of stock IRS bolts rather than the bolts supplied in the kit, loose exhaust are things I’m dealing with. So the grease fittings are just the icing.

Always work on cars yourself. I knew this but... life happens.

I just farmed out some work on the audi...rear brakes...now "new" rear brake caliper appears to be ceased..just like they said the original one was.
But they said to bring it by when I get the chance, as it is under warranty.

Well...enjoy...and keep us posted!!....in a new thread.

You will not be sorry.
Consider getting the shock towers bead welded and having a (CHE) shock tower brace put in....Before you put in any sound deadening in the trunk for the differential noise.
