Hi Guys,

Tried searching a few times but wanted opinion on adjusting the clutch on my 04. I recently purchased it and I think I need to adjust the clutch. Clutch isn't stock it's a CF but I notice that it releases when the pedal is almost all the way up, feels like it releases at the tail end.

I don't have a clutch quadrant yet, that will be my plan next summer but is it as easy as just putting it in first and pulling the clutch pedal all the way up?

Definitely would like it to release a little sooner, my foots almost at the top when it grabs.

If its the stock quadrant put your toe under the pedal and pull up. Then push it to the floor. Might take a couple times. But it should tighten up. If it doesn't then it might be worth checking the cable. Doesn't matter what gear the trans is in.

Thanks and that should bring the release point closer to the middle ? I don’t want want to go the other way as I’m almost at the end of the pedal as is lol.

The best way to adjust where the clutch releases is an adjustable pivot ball. There really isn't any better way.

Stock adjuster will only do so much with lifting pedal

you can get tighter if you use your hand at adjuster

it’s not easy to fit under and have 2 hands to work

Adjustable clutch quad and firewall adjuster are not designed to adjust the clutch engagement point. It’s made to adjust for when your clutch starts to wear down. The pivot ball is where you want to adjust the height, as Bdubbs stated.
