I’m down in Castle Rock! Love it here. There is someone local to me that has a 12 that’s black. Only 500 i have seen. I wasn’t sure about the black but i am over the moon with the car and the color.

Where are you at in Colorado?

Her Z is very nice. Its bone stock as well. Most likely doing a intake and exhaust over the winter but its a great open top cruiser through the mountains!

I would love a C7 Z...so jealous. Even the color i would get. You got the killer combo imo!
The C7Z is the first non-black fun car I've ever owned. I almost went black on it too, but thought the dark color hid too many of the car's lines/contours/details. Hope you're prepared for the full-time occupation it is to keep a black car clean!

I'm on the north end of Colo Spgs, but make my way through Castle Rock pretty often. (Was just there yesterday on an end of season cruise that took us across Lake Gulch Rd. Usually lots of fun, but too much traffic yesterday.)

One of my favorite features of the C7Z is its Targa top, which is off for most cruises, including yesterday.

Thanks for your kind words! I really enjoy both cars.

Damm J your car is awesome wish mine had the glass roof, I have the same exact weld setup as you also but yours is running and mine still undergoing surgery lmao getting closer though
Thanks buddy. It’s been a frustrating year for me though with some tune and fueling issues. I’m sending my fuel pump controller and hat back to Fore this week to Rule those out. We will figure it out but it’s been fighting us the whole way. Hopefully yours gets back to you sooner than later.

This is my first black car ever. I have learned lol. I am hoping after getting ceramic coated it will be better? I think i saw in a older thread you have yours done. Any recommendations for somewhere local?

Sweet! I was just in the springs over the weekend. I’m really loving Colorado that’s for sure. Do you know of any mustang cruise events or get togethers? I did a lot in SE Michigan but learning the scene here.

My wife wanted me to get a C7 Z but they are still a bit out of my price range. Targa tops are so cool.

Nothing will stop it from getting dirty or looking dusty, usually within minutes of detailing. Ceramic does, however, make cleaning and surface maintenance a lot easier. I'll drop you a PM with info on what and where I had done to mine.

In a "normal" year, there are many car shows, Cars & Coffee events, racing events, cruises, etc. This year was pretty slow on all fronts and, with the return of winter weather today, there probably won't be a lot more happening until spring.

Man this car looks great in all the color combos!
And I installed those Jaeger bros front mud flaps in the dealer lot, seriously. No road rash on my rocker panels.

Smart man doing the install at the dealer. Well worth the money and look like they came from the factory!

Nice looking Shelby! You should install some front mudguards.
So I ordered a pair for the fronts. Simple to put on or should I have the dealership do it next time I take the GT500 in for service? Do they require drilling holes? It looks like some kind of slip-clip instead of screws. i don't want to create a rust problem.

EASILY installed. No need for drilling or wheel removal, let alone dealership involvement. It's been a lot of years but, IIRC, it took me about 15 minutes in my driveway.
