Ya'll do remember the H1, H2 and H3 came as an SUT, right?

I kinda like it. Would be great to commute in and still can handle some light home owner utility work. The top coming off would be fun during spring and summer.

Ok explain to a luddite like me how you get 11,500 ftlbs of torque. Most ev's have impressive horsepower and I know the torque is instantaneous but no one is even close to that incredible amount of torque. Are they measuring it differently?
"GM estimates. Applies to Edition 1 and available on EV3X"

Apparently, they are are adding the torque of each motor to the total.
The base model is a 2 motor with 625 hp/7,400 lb-ft of torque. The 1,000 hp/11,500 lb-ft of torque is a 3 motor setup available on the EV3X package and standard on the Edition 1

Im with you, all things i appreciate and then you can still be planted in your street at every stop light for some speed thrills. 0-60 in the 3's is no joke and tons of fun.

I wouldnt want a Tesla over the E-hummer i don think. What would i gain?

Really does look like GM threw down the EV truck gauntlet here. I'm really impressed, but the wife and I will still go with the Super Duty as our next truck. I'll keep my Suburban to play with, but we'll make the SD our family vehicle. The reason being, not everybody has a place that can offer the fast charge and even so, it still takes ten minutes for a charge that only gets you 100 more miles. That's my biggest caveat to EV.....for now.

I see more Ridgeline than avalanche.

Its cool but $100k?? $80k for the cheap one? Lol.

Who is this for? Off roaders? Truck guys? Is the bed and payload capability the same as a standard full size truck? If so thats cool, especially with really high mpg.

You dont often see people offroading $100k trucks. At least not rock crawling.

Its a nice rich kid toy. Not sure it will sell. Especially with the “tainted” hummer badge. Might as well call it Trumper lol. Tree huggers are going to still vandalize it.

I dunno, it's not terrible to me. Hard to beat the H1 look.

Priced out of what I would want to spend for a truck, but cool to see more electric vehicles coming out

I see it as a rich kid status symbol and that's it.

I don't actually hate the thing though

This is for the same guy that buys a $150k G-Wagon, $100k Land Cruiser, $100k Range Rover, $80k Escalade, $80k Cayenne, $70K GX470, etc.

Hummer brand had huge cache back in the day. But $5/gal and environmentalist gave it a black eye as the redneck, tree killing, gas guzzling hog image.

GM is clever to launch it again as an electric aspirational luxury truck with some pedigree and off road capability.

I hope it's successful and paves the way for an HX revival. Maybe built sharing the next Gen Colorado chassis.

I may be alone on this, but I think they hit it out of the park with this truck. I absolutely love the styling, and I think the interior is one of the coolest of any upcoming cars. It truly looks like the "future" to me. I've watched a lot of videos on this truck and it's not just a typical GM truck that's electric. They really went above and beyond with tech, styling and off road capabilities.

I would absolutely love to own one. I'm really looking forward to seeing what exterior/interior colors they have available in the future.

Unfortunately, Electric Vehicles are the future and this truck makes EV's look promising.

Hats off to GM.
