That car, the current silverado, new 4 series bimmer, all look like shit. Its like manufacturers are trying to be toyota, make ugly ass cars but the reliability wont be close!

I like how they take this thing to the middle of nowhere, not too many charging stations on the side of the mountain. Let’s be real, this is a soccer mom mobile at best. I do like the Supercruise and T Tops! This thing with a LS7 would be cool but still pretty ugly.

Thing is you could buy 3 cyber trucks for this price

Did GM announce what the warranty is going to be on the hummer? I just am curious what it will be compared to other EV warranty's

Only thing I can say is it's better than the Cyber truck

I think it's cool but that price tag is going to keep it away from the average buyer.
Kind of my thinking as well. Overall, I like the design. 1000hp. 11,500 lb. ft. of torque and 0-60 in about 3 seconds. But that price for an EV "truck" definitely puts it beyond the reach of the majority. Maybe in a couple of years a used Hummer might be affordable. Assuming the long term reliability and maintenance costs are reasonable.

This is their showcase EV, so not surprised by the price. Has all newest do-dads and some legitimately cool tech. Will have that legendary off-road capability for all those mall crawlers as well.

Following Tesla's model of launching the high-end stuff first, then offer the more accessible models later. There are tons of buyers willing to drop six figures on the latest and greatest "bling" SUV, and this will fit that bill nicely. Looks like the top end editions already sold out.

At least they didn't try to call it a Corvette.

Ok explain to a luddite like me how you get 11,500 ftlbs of torque. Most ev's have impressive horsepower and I know the torque is instantaneous but no one is even close to that incredible amount of torque. Are they measuring it differently?

I'm guessing they are using a torque multiplication calculation. Not inaccurate or false per se, but certainty misleading based on industry practices.
