I watched this the other day, and these cars are incredibly impressive. I do in someway, feel like the trap speeds were a little lower than I was expecting for cars that are supposed to be making as much power as they are…?

Those Vipers were putting the power down better than the rest for sure. Love the sequentials. They are geared crazy, pulling 3rd-4th-5th in the same breath!

Calvo is down the street from me. Lucky for me I can’t shop there. Goes without saying that fast cars come out of this shop.

Yeah, saw that last night. Vipers hit 188. Lambo hit 196. GT-R hit 194. Hard to believe a RWD Viper won the event. AWD is a killer.

Kinda have to agree considering midnight performance trapping ~180 from a dig with a lot less in it.

I wonder if the low trap speed is indicative of how they have the boost by gear setup and how they're manipulating torque output to maintain traction. If you noticed, they were putting the power down much sooner than the other guys. Perfect example was the very last race vs the GTR. GTR was all over the track, while the Viper was not.

Blew my mind when they were talking about some of the RPM they're turning with those long stroke V10s... Holy smokes!

Ya pretty crazy.

Maybe it’s just indicative that the faster you go, the amount of power increase that is needed to increase trap by each MPH is more?

A member here just ran a 8.8X at @164 from a dig with 1500rwhp

1000 extra HP and from a roll I’d expect more.

But then again it’s not like a funny car since they have to ramp the power in. Seems they’ve hit the limit of the platform.

Great, great video thanks for sharing.

Regarding the trap speeds.... If you listened to the comments about the tuning, they are only using half the available power in the first few gears.. i think i heard 1650whp in 2nd gear.

They have them dialed in for sure. That was a great watch.

I perceive this to be an apology of sorts for the other thread. Trying to bury the hatchet?

So each gear has its own tune? Crazy.

The vipers that nth moto and calvo build are just amazing. At six figure price point builds after the price of the viper itself though it’s just another world of crazy

trap speeds were lower than last year because the track was shorter, they should be 8-10mph higher Antonio said on one of the Viper FB groups I believe

They were starting at the normal starting line, and seemed to cross the traps under power...what was shorter exactly?

My buddies Calvos build doesn’t make full power till 4th gear. That’s 1800x car with a sequential. It’s crazy because the ACR cars are faster with those power levels because they use the downforce and factor that into the boost by gear. Without the ACR aero(wing) they have to dial it down.
