Something new coming for the 11'-14' guys, the VMP Performance 163R! It's larger than the "black" mono blade many of us run and just as easy to get dialed in.

Full disclosure, it has taken a couple revisions from Rob Shoemaker of Palm Beach Dyno, just as the black mono blade did, to get it to my liking. I'm rather picky as my main focus with the car is street driving.

Here are the actual max. height/width dimensions to show the size differences:

163R
Max Width = 152.82mm
Max Height = 82.70mm

170mm Big Bore Mono
Max Width = 147.82mm
Max Height = 71.80mm

Please also see the attached photos.

Thanks....

Measurements are good but do you have flow data? I'm more concerned with how much air it flows rather than size, thanks.

I would rather see dyno testing personally.

However, I'll always use the largest inlet setup possible in order to minimize any possible restriction. I.e. my JLT Super Big Air (148mm). I am not certain where this takes over from the Whipple. I do know from experience, if there is any restriction, it will show on the dyno and timeslip.

Sharp corners on a throttle body can be suspect in regards to airflow from what I've heard from a very credible source. Note the large raduisses (sp?) of the 163R.

This is not a modification for most. This is for a more aggressive to max effort setup that is still used on the street, requiring good street manners.

Please do a review on it, I'm interested in getting this T/B, but after the VMP 160mm T/B nightmare I don't want to waste my money on another mono blade.

Yes! I ended up switching tuners to Scott Hasty and all I can say is, this thing now drives like a stock throttle body. So smooth. No characteristics of the mono blades.

It drove fine with them. It just drove noticeably better with Scott. That's all.
