I got tired of not finding anything I like aftermarket for our stangs. So being a design engineer, I'm making my own (well trying to anyways). I didn't want to modify my trunk deck either so I utilized factory bolt locations on the trunk (gt style wing), sorry 03-04 cobra owners, this is a wing designed for the forgotten group of cobra/gt/v6 owners lol. This is still a work in progress. The machined pucks that attach to the trunk I am going to re-design to make them more simplistic/easier/cheaper to machine. Wing will be 1/4" 6061 aluminum.

I'm am thinking of maybe selling these. But this will not be a cheap kit. If I did sell these, they will ship unfinished since there is literally a million different ways to finish these (paint, powdercoat, wrap, hydrodip, etc etc), I'm not dealing with all that, you can figure that out. I am not on here a lot but once I have an design finalized I'll post pics. Progress pics below.

Concept modeled up. Machined mount pucks, 1/8" sheet steel wing brackets, and 1/4" sheet steel aluminum ducktail.

Next I had to make sure of mount hole locations in correct spot. The trunk has a slight contour so I had to mock up the wing in pressboard and cut out some angled gussets to replicate the bends as close as a I could.

Mock up wing mounted to brackets. Ignore the hanging wires in the background, I just put up led shop lights, still havent put up the wire routing tube/clips lol.

I marked hole locations to update the CAD file of the wing. I am also bringing the wing down about 3/4 inch so it sits closer to the trunk body. I did not like this large of a gap as seen below. Once I get the aluminum wing fab'd up I will update with pics.

Cool, obviously you have put a lot of effort into this. Yeah our cars many times have been left out when it comes to upgrades. For me I would like something more molded into the trunk. I dont like the looks of the brackets. If its aerodynamically effective when it comes to track duty it would be awesome. It reminds me a little of the spoilers on some of the hot-rodded Japanese cars you see on the road today. Im sure there could be many who like the look of your spoiler and would buy it if the price is not out of the ballpark. Keep it up as there are many like me who do not have the talent for this.

Very cool! If you could make it fit flush like the two cad drawings, and mount each side with a pair of nice splitter rods, I think you'd have people lining up.

Nice for road racing, but would need to be prettier, more molded and less functional for daily drivers....just another lousy opinion from me.

I can't say much; I still love old school rear and quarter window louvers for our new edges.
