Anyone have any feedback on these??? Seems to be a simple, compact, cheap DI system that I may pick up. Plan on using it in the winter only so I can skip the drying part of my cold weather washes.

Usually use thick rubber gloves to rinsless wash and dry just like in warmer weather. With this I would use a wash brush with rinseless wash or some kind of regular car soap and just use the DI to rinse and walk away. Probably not faster but definitely will have warmer hands when Im done.

Same price as costco but from what amazon reviews say you get an extra filter when buying through costco. These systems always seem cost prohibitive to me, this seems like a cheap alternative.

Yikes ! If you are dying to scratch the hell out out your car, go for it ! Just ask the people with bad washing techniques pictured below that I had to paint correct. The guy in that video makes me laugh. Washing with that nasty rag with very little soap. Love it. That product produces no suds to put a barrier in-between your wash mitt and your paint, meaning any dirt, grime, etc. which will still be on your paint, will scratch. You mentioned waterless wash with a wash brush ? Again, bad idea. Microfiber towels are to be used with waterless wash, not brushes. Are you driving your Mustang in the winter?

So do you have any actual feedback on the Unger rinse 'n' go, a comparison to the more expensive units like the CR spotless or comment on using a DI system as a final rinse in the winter???

Jay: I've used CR spotless systems for rinsing in the hot Florida sun and they work great.

If it were me/my car up there I would do a traditional wash, or a rinseless wash and then use that system to rinse. You will still have cold/wet hands however.

I would steer clear of any brushes for washing as that is asking for marring to be introduced into your paintwork.

Just my 2 cents!

Thanks, will pick one up and try it out and report back. If I like it I guess I may step up to a bigger setup in the future.

Well it finally arrived from Amazon after Costco cancelling my order for no reason. Already filled out my return and was about to take it back to the UPS store to return it 5 minutes after opening it too until I got a hold of Unger customer service. Dont be suprised if the resin bag and the inside of your unit is wet when you get it, they say its tested at the factory prior to shipping FYI.

So after all that using the included TDS meter my hose water went from ~195ppm down to ~2ppm. Cleaned a few test spots on the Raptor and misted them down to check for any spotting, not sure it will dry enough before it gets dark and it rains tomorrow morning. Will report back what I see and hopefully dont have to wait for a better day to test.

Vertical painted panels dried with no spots, horizontal was still beaded up and wet. Windshield showed light spotting, not sure if I wiped it well enough before misting though. Will revisit within a week when I get a chance to do a full wash and DI rinse.

Well hooked up the Unger and pressure washed the Raptor, foamed with Mckees Si02 wash, agitated with a MF wash mit, foamed again and rinsed with the pressure washer. Let her sit over night and this morning the only water spots I could find were on the glass and were very faint, the paint had no spots that I could find with a light.

It works as advertised and is a cheap way to get a DI source of water for pressure washing. Will definitely be keeping it and using it over the winter for salt rinsing. Still not a huge fan of foam cannons though, just so many years of "rinsless" washing for so many years its hard to go back to traditional soap washing. Time will tell I suppose.

*Slight OT*
Anyone have any recommendations for a pressure washer hose that isnt so stiff, its a real PITA to coil and store my current 50' hose. It has alot of memory and doesnt like to change from its original coiled state, left it out in the sun when I first got it and that didnt help at all.

Time for the real test, full sun wash and open air dry. Water tested at 2ppm, same wash process as last time. Before pics below, will let it sit and dry before I get some after pics.

Dry pics below, still some very negligible spotting on glass but otherwise works as advertised. Looks like I will be keeping it after all.

Been researching sources for resin, havent compared prices too much but it seems like a cubic foot is a popular quantity to sell. Can the resin just sit in a regular storage container or does it need to be airtight and humidity controlled once opened.
