2020 Porsche Carrera 4S Cabriolet (992)
253 Miles

3.0 liter flat 6, PDK trans
443HP/390TQ
0-60: 3.0 seconds
Top Speed: 182MPH

Client flat bedded his new Carrera to me for some correction and protection. This is going to be a black beauty when completed!
Vehicle was covered with water spots, swirls, some scratches and multiple hazy ‘thin’ areas where it looked like someone (the dealer, or one of their vendors) attempted to correct some areas with horrendous results…and just left them like that. These areas showed up as light or gray areas on this black paint and would only readily show under the ScanGrip lighting. These areas measured very ‘thin’—in the 1.3 mil range.

The ‘details’:

2BW w/Gary Dean Shampoo.
McGee’s37 Iron Remover.
Clayed with medium mitt.
Adam’s Wheel Cleaner.
Adam’s Tire and Rubber Cleaner.
Raggtop top protectant.
Master Blaster to dry.
DeFelsko PTG.
Scan Grip lighting.
Ranger QuickJack.
Flex 3401/beast.
Flex XFE15/finisher.
Flex Pixie.
Griot’s Fast Correcting Cream.
Griot’s Perfecting Cream.
Car Pro PERL tire dressing.
Optimum Panel Wipe.
22ple Mistico Elemento Forte.
22ple VM1.
Auto Finesse Glass Cleaner.
Metro vacuum.
McKee’s37 quick interior detailer.
GYEON leather coat.

Thank you for looking/commenting!

Lovely, nothing like a clean black car, for the first five seconds.
If I’m not mistaken that should be the Twin Turbo 3.0L. I’ve been curious to how the engine preforms, but being it’s Porsche I’m sure it’ll do just fine.

Thanks Tones!

Recon: it is indeed. 3.0L, twin turbo, 'non' turbo car, LOL! (it's not their flagship Turbo 911 model)

Performance is better than the previous years and as expected, so is MPG. Cat delete and tune these things are running with the 'older' generation (991) Turbo 911's...so they respond very well and will fly!

Okay, excuse my ignorance but where are the wheel studs at and how is the rotor/brakes being held on lol.

@NastyGT500 your work is impeccable and I truly wish I could afford/ send you my F250 to work your magic on. Phenomenal job as always.

Awesome job as always looks fantastic, it’s crazy you can’t buy a car with great paint these days whether it’s a 50k mustang or
100k + 911.

FANTASTIC job as ALWAYS!

Quick question...when you get readings of 1.5 & 1.3...what is the remedy? If I was the owner, I'd be on the phone to Porsche of North America in Atlanta...

The studs are made into the lugnuts to put it in simple terms, or lug studs. It’s a common practice among euro manufacturers. More specifically the German segment.

Thank you everyone!

Rotors have a central 'hub' that holds them on. Wheels are held on with bolts!

No remedy. Just correct it best you can. Only remedy would be a re-spray

You've been doing quite a few Porsches lately, Scott. The paint on this one (a 2020) was pretty bad. But your magical work has transformed it to where it should be. Another great detailing job.

I love the interior/dash on the Carrera 4S.
