Sorry. New to this site. Where can I reference the rules, including 7. I will update. Thanks!

Top sticky post from 03Cobra#694 in the marketplace.

Word of advice from a current resident: if you’re moving to a smog check county and ANY of your monitors are disabled you will be sent to BAR referee who will then pick it apart and deny certification based on any combination of arbitrary violations. California’s grand wizards want these cars to die.

p.s. welcome to the golden state. Bring plenty of gold and hang on to your wallet.

You're going to need more photos, too, if you want to attract a serious buyer here. Interior. Engine bay. Exterior walk around shots.

Man, thanks for the heads up! My cobra is ultra clean and untouched, everything works. Just minor upgrades of cold air, pulley, and exhaust. I Am living in Norther Cal, and it appears the smog test is in my future. Do your foresee me having a hard time passing it? I heard the fees out there are outrageous for plates and such. Maybe in February when it's not -10 in Chicago I will feel like the fees are worth it.

YW. Honestly, make sure ALL of your monitors are working. The way I read it current regulations mandate that any vehicle being registered from out of state must pass smog irrespective of whether it’s being registered in a smog exempt county.

Used to be they would just do a sniff test for emissions and that was good enough. That changed a couple years ago and is much stricter with respect to monitors and non-CARB compliant parts. Even with all monitors working you might not pass visual inspection, but YMMV. Be prepared to return to bone stock. Search this forum for real world experience with this.

And again, welcome! We used to live in the NW ‘burbs so I understand Jan-Feb in Chicagoland.
