Has anyone downloaded their own tuning software for like just minor changes or just for extensive monitoring? If so what brand did you go with to monitor on your laptop?
I have the x4 I didn’t think you could watch literally everything with it like what o2s are doing, the maf voltage, and other stuff. I wouldn’t mind learning how to adjust some minor things like, add a little fuel or air/take it awayThere's not much that's just for minor changes. If you just want to make tweaks to minor trim settings like axle ratios, tire size, fan settings, etc... an SCT handheld device will do the trick. It's also useful for datalogging. You can get the SCT software to go with it, but after the lawsuit it can't do much beyond what the handheld can, and is very expensive.
Other than that your options are either a Moates Quarterhorse for hardware and TunerPro for software (which I run) or HP Tuners. Those are serious tuning setups though- you can tune and log just about anything with them.

I would hit up Lasotaracing.com, efidynotuning.com, eectuning.org, and take a look around. There are a few options out there, I chose SCT Pro racer because I already had a XCAL4. Learning to self tune has been a lot of fun and am so glad I did it. it.s not hard to pick up especially if you have a mild combo. Most places you buy from will give you a base tune to start and answer any questions / help you along. I choose Lasota Racing, purchased his tuning book, and dove right in. Really changes the ownership experience when you know how to make changes yourself to the tune. good luck

Being able to tune in real time would be simply awesome. With that said my experience with SCT (R&D level access) has been just fine for tuning and datalogging. I would like to check out a Maotes Quarterhorse one day though.
I'll be damned!! Me too lol.I have MS3propnp sitting on my shelf waiting to be installed
