Oh boy....

So, two weeks ago, I made 1101 rwhp with my new engine.

Well, I came up with the bright idea to take it on a 500 mile road trip. Same pullies from the dyno, just a few degrees less timing. On E85 from the pump.

Here's what happened...

Absolutely nothing! Drove it down, stayed a couple days and drove back. Because that's what streetcars do!

You get half points. No time slip.
Haha just giving you shit buddy.
I’m sure it was an awesome experience.

I've got to save up for the next round of drivetrain upgrades first. Street cars don't arrive on trailers, I've got to be able to drive it home.

I hear you though, wouldn't expect anything less.

All good I’m hoping to do the deed this week myself. Drive to track and run 9s.
Was my oldest birthday and she got her first rides with it over 1000hp. She’s now a believer. Other than the noise, she took a 140mph pull without a peep and actually told me she knows why I like it, so maybe there’s hope.
Would love to get to the track with you and Scott one of these years.

And, gas mileage?
I bet she’s still not too bad, but that’s relative.
What rear gears behind the 6R80?

You've got one hell of a nice 5.0. Despite the hood and tight stance, you would know there was a mega beast under the hood. 1101rwhp ready to shell shock any unbelievers. LOL. Glad you had a great time, and awesome that you drove there and back.

J - that's cool. Keep us posted on your results. Good or bad. It will be a fun read. My 11 y/o likes the car, but doesn't quite like all of the power. I temper it when she and my Wife are in it. They like something in the 10 sec/130 mph trap speed area. Definitely fun, but part throttle boost. I'll push the pedal down to make it get increasingly dramatic and they just giggle. It's great.

15 mpg on the way down. 13 mpg on the way home. We made it home, a little bit quicker.

Stock, 3.15 gears.

Please, tell us about the mods to come.
As-in, what's next?

Possibly dyno testing the next VMP TVS. Will likely need to upgrade fuel lines/fittings first, as my current -8/-6 may not be enough. I'm looking into that, currently.

I'll be customizing some rear Weld S71 RTS's I just got (15x10 - non beadlock). I'm going to have them widened an inch and then powdercoated black to match the black star. Leaving the sides of the star and chamfered edges raw, like they come. All else will be black. They should be a good compliment my Alumastar fronts.

Otherwise, maybe a driveshaft/axle/differential upgrade.

Hope that wasn't too much more than what you were wanting. I ramble a bit at times. Ha ha.

Nice! I thought about driving the Cobra down, but was too tired to map out where the E85 pumps were.

I should’ve hit you up while we were there to get a closer look at your beast of a car.

Oh man, you should have reached out. I would have been glad to help. It's pretty easy and quick. You are from Indiana, right?

I carried five gallons in the trunk. I got 15 mpg on the way down. We drove down to Louisville and filled up, then drove the rest of the way.

There's another station on I-65, about 30 miles outside of Louisville. There was E85 in Bowling Green too.

All very clean, but all from Speedway stations. 87-88% on my tester, exactly what it tests at my local Speedway.
