I'm wiring up the Shelby triple gauge pod and do not have power to the gauges. I have the illumination power hooked up and it works fine, but I'm wondering if I tapped the correct wire in the underdash harness. Directions say to look for a white wire with a yellow tracer which I found and tee'd the power wire from the gauges into it. But this wire is only 20-22 gauge and the wire from the pod is 16-18 gauge. The supplied tee connector is for 16-18 gauge so, in short, I'm wondering if there is another larger gauge wire in the underdash harness that I haven't found yet.
If anyone has done this mod or has a schematic of the main underdash harness please help!

When I added gauges, I used an add-a-circuit on one of the unused fuse locations in the fuse panel on the passenger side with a fuse block. The fuse panel serves as primary power and each circuit has it's own fuse, with much smaller amperage requirements than the main 20 amp fuse providing power

So with one 20 amp add-a-fuse, I had enough amperage to power (2) Aeroforce analog sensors, a MAP sensor for my boost/vacuum gauge along with the gauge light and the power feed for my radar dectector. I also have an Autometer light dimmer for the gauge light. You can see I have one blade unused. I added a blank terminal connector as an afterthought. Your owner's manual will have a diagram of the fuses and what each slot powers.

Thanks for the reply’s. I have used the add a fuse in my passenger fuse box for aero force gauges as well.
I was trying to follow the Shelby directions for this mod, but may have to go back to the fuse box again.

I think I found what you are looking for. My AutoMeter gauge power wires are tapped into a white wire (can't distinguish yellow tracer) in a harness running parallel to and secured directly under the steering shaft.

can you tell what gauge wire you tapped! Right now the only “yellow tracer” wire I found was a very small gauge. The white wire in your pic seems to be a bit bigger.

Referencing my picture above, the white wire on the right which I am tapped into appears to be 18ga. The smaller white wire on the left appears to be 20ga. I can't distinguish yellow tracers on either (middle age far-sightedness), but pretty sure it is two different sized white wires in that harness.

Many thanks! I believe that gets the info I need.
Btw I completely commiserate with the middle aged far sightedness.
