Hi Gang,

Can anyone rec'd a great drag radial for an auto C7Zr1...It would be for the stock 20 inch rim. Since I have the stock rims off the car I would like to put a super sticky drag radial on the stock rear rims. Just looking for something that will dead hook on the stock rim on stock power.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks!

Have two sets of tires.

Your normal tires and rims for general driving and then a set of 18” rims with MT ET Streets for the track.

In my experience the Hoosiers hooked best on the street. They dont seem to last as long as the MT's but maybe thats because they're a little stickier idn.

Saw your trip to the track. Wicked time you ran.
I have been looking into the best tire for my Z with the factory 20’s and it looks like the Toyo R888 325/30/20 is what I’ll be running in the spring. A lot of the 1200+ whp supra sup here run them and swear by them. You may want to look at them.

No comparison to a M/T-M&H, different leagues.
Like most have mentioned run the M/T or I really liked my M&H’s. IMO M&H is the better tire as far as traction goes. Just my experience, same car ran all 3 tires.

305/35R20 NEW TIRE!

@Arabian, would you try your 100-200 km time For me? The settings for mph to km are easily set from the steering wheel buttons. I’m really curious to see your times for that metric.

Had et street ss’s on my car at 870whp and they were great at the drag strip but useless for traction on the street. I’ve moved on to Toyo R888r’s and they are far and away the superior street performing tire. I have a 2020 Shelby, factory 20’s.

That’s what I hear. Thanks for the feed back. :)
To me it’s important to stay on factory wheels and maintain handling to some degree.

Here’s my time on a level road starting in 3rd at 3800 rpm and one shift to 4th.
Went out tonight to try again but it’s way too cold. No traction up to 100 mph. :(
