It always amazes me to see a dirty engine bay pic in a sales ad.
It's as much a result of a "dirty" photo as it is a dirty engine bay. Maybe more so. That photo is horrible. Looks like it was taken with a 1999 smart phone. Sellers need to smarten up on taking high quality photos that accurately show the condition of the car. Low resolution photos suck!

If my cars engine bay ever looked like that I would slap myself in the face. How embarrassing to have a 2800 mile car and have it look like that. The sad thing is; it would probably only take a few hours to get it looking good again but when I see that I question the maintenance. Maybe I’m just too anal... Or maybe I value my money in which I have spent on purchasing my car.

you're not wrong. he seems to be looking for top dollar for that car and he spend about 3 minutes on that listing. having a terrible listing like that will probably cost him thousands as im sure others would question the car based on just the engine picture. i've spent the better part of a day prepping any car i was selling prior to taking pictures as well as a thorough description addressing all the known issues and common questions.

Looks like the ad and pics were good enough as someone hit the BIN. Still seems like a decent deal. Prices seem to be on the rise for these winged warriors.

#48 from Ebay...

Sadly that was my old car.

Long story short...divorce!

Ex-wife ended up with the car over a year ago. i guess she didn't keep it clean. Sadly when it was with me it was spotless and and kept in a climate controlled garage. Anyway sh!t happens.

Owned it for about 9 years...and eventually i'll get to relieving myself of a few extra parts I had for it.

It was a dream to own one and I did. I knew I wouldn't keep it forever but it looked the same when I parted with it as the day I got it.

I have no doubt these cars will top 6 figures relatively soon, but we aren’t there yet. This car would sell in the 60s.
