A/C compressors we buy all aftermarket because all the aftermarket ones are often from the factory suppliers. Check Ranshu or other local radiator and A/C suppliers unless you have to go through OEM. Ranshu is in Nevada but I order and they ship it and I see it the next day. We do more A/C work than probably anyone around local as that is where we started and I don't think I have ever waited longer than a day to get the compressor I needed.
Our parts department refuses to go aftermarket with anything and its infuriating. But these compressors are on new cars, so it has to be OEM

That's understandable because customers will flip their lid if they have aftermarket parts on a new car. With compressors though, the aftermarkets are the OEMs most of the time. For example, I just did a C300 that had a factory Denso compressor with a little Mercedes tag on it showing it was the OEM part. Ordered a new aftermarket compressor from our supplier and in came a brand new Denso unit, just without the MB tag on it with the part number. Cost $400 compares to $900 from the dealer also.

I have been waiting on a new clutch for a month now. Zero in stock anywhere and the delay is due to the supplier. I said **** it and just got an aftermarket one.

We have had customers do that also. Normally if other dealers need parts I am willing to sell backorder ones I may have in stock, but so many times I get burned and end up needing it for one of my customers the next day.
