eBay. It’s hard to find netted Recaro headrests anywhere. Took me a year to find a set in the US that weren’t $500+

Even simple updates like that are satisfying. ;) Did the old bushing deteriorate?

Changing another darn heater core. Challenge compounded by a cage through the dash. I will win, just takes time.

I've never changed one before. My car doesn't have heat. Came from down south, they don't need it I guess.

I think I saw its the same core for Crown Vic's also (heater core spans like 15+ years, many models), so likely the same process as your Mk VII.

I remember swapping one out on my Grandfathers Mark VII. Holy hell what a bitch it was in that car.

Just did this myself as well as the EVAP core.

I ended up pulling the harness and frame out after this pic to paint them and reloom the harness as well as the tape was falling apart. I'm a tad bit OCD

Hardest part of the job was tracking down a brass core rather than the standard aluminum parts store cores.

I added serious powah via functional ram-air, lol.

installation process was a bit of a pain...

Don’t think I mentioned this in my progress thread but also just flushed/replaced coolant and next up when I can get some time I’m going to be fixing some issues with the fuel tank, changing the differential fluid and gasket, and replacing the power steering pump.

I was told the problem with changing the hc in the fox is you may break some plastic part because of the age of the plastic. I didn't want to tackle it myself and could not get a "good shop" to take it on.
