It's all about franchises where they get a license to be a Taco bell, very few if any chain restaurant are actually own and operated by the parent companies there is exceptions like the McD's at Oak Brook IL and the origianl out in Ca. . hence why the prices all seem to be all over the place even though they are all Burgar Kings, McD's or Taco Bells.
Back in the day you could get three bean burritos for a buck. Used to be my go to place when I was broke before payday.

They opened a Taco Casa about 30 minutes away too. Hard to pick between them and Taco Cabana when we get that hankering for some bowel cleanser.
I had to look up taco bueno...so it is a chipotle for tacos? Super whack.
But I hate you guys in Houston as you have Bonchon.

Nope. That and the Frito burrito (the real one) were the only things I looked forward to, then they killed them off.
When I lived in Midland Texas they had a place called Taco Villa. Only fast food place that rivaled Taco Bell in my opinion.
Their combination burrito was my go to....
