Kind of off topic but I loved Joker with Joaquin Phoenix. So dark and nasty with zero optimism.
I like the tone. Who’s the villain, Riddler? Seems like Hush at certain points.

The Riddler and The Penguin are supposed to be in this one along with Carmine Falcone.
I’m having high hopes for this.
I thought the same until I went on IMDB and it said that wrapped face guy is the Riddler.
As discombobulated as the Batman and JL movies have become, I sure do enjoy all the spinoff individual movies they come out with. Batman and Joker seem to be where the real gold is, says Leto's Joker but that was Suicide Squad so that movie wasn't about Joker.
Hopefully Flash will retcon some of the bad decisions.
Excited for this. I love the Nolan Batman movies, but this looks like the dark and gritty movie Batman deserves. Also very excited for Robert Pattinson, his work is pretty impressive.
Hopefully. It sounds like JL is still canon and the Snyder Cut isn't. I hope they change their minds. I know Snyder wanted to kill off Ben's Batman during JL 2; maybe the Flash will do that so no one worries about movies with him and can focus on Pattinson's Batman.
Ben is supposed to be in the Flash and the director said it will be emotional.
Pat's Batman looks to be a product of the Joker timeline. I don't think DC actually gives 2 shits about continuity the way Marvel does.
Exactly. Pattinson is off in a different universe. I like the fast and loose continuity DC has going; a little thread links Shazam, Aquaman, and WW, but they don't need to focus on setting up the next 17 movies.

I have a friend from the Marines who is in the new movie Tenet with Pattinson, and he said they hung out quite a bit while on set. Said he absolutely hates the Twilight movies but is thankful to have been in them for where it got him and that he is a really humble and down to earth actor. He even offered to let him take his Aventador to the gym one day when he was trying to figure out how to get there.
I like these darker superhero movies. Joker was pretty good and this looks to be in the same tone. That beat down, you could feel the anger out of him, before he says he’s vengeance. We’ll see if Pattinson is worth being called Batman, like Bale and Keaton.
