What makes the LS the swap king is the fact three are Millions of them out there in cars, vans and trucks. You can get one for $200 these days.
True. The LS has been out for 20 years. Even 6 liter LS motors aren't getting pulled at my yard anymore when they used to be gold.

I HOPE Ford finds some interesting ways to utilize a 7.3 in the future, but it would definitely take a shift in their powertrain mentality, plus I don't understand the complexities of the CAFE issues/light truck emissions standards.

The other weird thing to think about...with the "barn find" craze we're seeing...can you imagine some kid dragging a TRX out of the weeds and try to get it running 50 years from now? Especially if things have moved to EV and autonomous.
At that point it would literally be a dinosaur, not just clever word play.

I can't wait to see how many heads explode over on the Ram forum as I posted that I would rather have this truck than the TRX.
I did say that the TRX is balls, but this Shelby truck is just down right killer. 4X4 as well so it could be my everyday/any weather daily driver.

i just can’t get over how ugly it is. The hood, maybe even the bumper. It would be nice to see a slightly flavored out bed side to give it a wider track.

boy, did Ford finally grow a pair again?

I almost feel bad for the people who just picked up a Gen 2 raptor and are beating their chest about how it doesn’t need a v8.
Definitely fake news. Just like all the other outlets saying it has a V8 based on a recent video that was verrrry clearly an EcoBoost

I had to do a quick google and it does looks like people have been predicting a v8 raptor again to combat the TRX, so maybe it will happen.

do you have a link for the video you mention?

I love it!
If I could afford it, I would get one. (I like that blue.) But, I can't unless I get a killer trade-in value on my truck. I would take the tonneau cover off though of the Shelby or just get it without to save some cash. Not my style.

Hahaha....cmon man do you believe everything you read? As already stated that rumour of a V8 has been around since the beginning of the Gen 2. That truck in the link doesn't sound like a V8 and the orange cables on the side suggest powerboost.......but we won't know until actual facts are proven .

lol, a boy can dream
