Sounds like a dream. Just seeing videos Fifi and Doc form up and fly together at Oshkosh in '17 I was tearing up. Until then the last time 2 B-29 flew together was 1958.
I couldn't begin to imagine. It is painful to lose parents, but more lonesome as if I have little ones they will never know people that raised me and then get stories comparing them to myself at that age. My sister had 2 boys when I lost mom, she loved being a grandma. I hadn't seen her that happy in many years. Would have loved to see her face with the twin girls, I can't help but smile.
As sad it is, we are supposed to outlive our parents, and our children outlive us. When that order is flipped around it has to tear out your heart and keep digging at it with a dull knife. I'm so sorry for you and your family's loss and pain, and hopefully someday with faith and a little luck we can find some peace someday!
