Hey Everyone, .

I'm looking to build a short block that can handle up to 1200 whp for a supercharger setup, and need help deciding on these two block options. If you have any other suggestions I would love to hear it, also I live in alaska so it's hard to come by used block or get stuff shipped from small dealers. Also the reason I'm not using my block out of my car is because this will be slow project build for fun, and would like to get the bottom end built before I pull the engine out of my car.

Option 1. New 5.0 Gen 1 Coyote aluminum block ( M-6010-M504V ), and have MMR cylinder block sleeve kit installed for $2,700.

Option 2. New Ford Performance TiVCT 4V 5.0L Performance Aluminum Cylinder Block (M-6010-M50R) with no sleeve installed for $2,400.

If you are sure that you will get that high in HP you definitely will need a sleeved block. There are different sleeves used, darton or LA sleeve. The dartons are better higher tensile strength. Hear is list of shops who sleeve, call all of them, MMR, MPR, Livernois, L&M, Steve at AED different business from Shawn at AED. I have the dartons

Good luck finding a M-6010-M50R block. If you have access to one and do not buy it I would be more than happy to buy it. Please let me know. Thanks.

They don't have any, per David Miller at CJ

Best price I found for a Gen 1 is from Ford Performance Parts. If code FPP010 still works you can pick one up for $715.50

Wonder why the web site doesn’t say out of stock you can try MMR unless there site is wrong to, but it is a little more expensive. If this block is really hard to get I guess I only have one option for my self.

Jok3r Definitely a good idea to replace your motor since you have a 2011. Mine let go at 600whp. I have a 12. If you got a gen 1 crate motor these have all of the 2015-2017 upgrades. I know quit a few people that have a 2015 stock short block and they make 770 whp all day (on fuel) and are still alive 3+ years later.

Throw oil pump gears in it, nice and easy reliable combo. But not 1200hp. I wish this option was around when I popped mine.
