Teslas drivetrain and tech package is still decades ahead. Musk will push OTA updates a day or two after someone gives him a recommendation over twitter for a new feature at no extra charge. Mosy of his models perform better over time due to updates that boost performances or revise charging or regen algorithms. Only downside is most of their fit and finish is Fisher price level.

Tesla is a tech company first and a car company second. I agree that people that want a Tesla are going to get one because of the name and will most likely not buy another EV unless they truly care about the EV portion and not the brand name. Go to LA and you'll see what I mean.

Tesla slashing overhead, again. I thought they were making all this money?

First, they're constantly working on automation. Over time they need less people to produce more cars. Second, Musk is pretty ruthless. He's always trimming the lowest rated employees.

lol Tesla has serious quality control issues and they took Toyota's NUMMI plant and managed to make it from the most efficent plant in the US to the least. Good job Tesla! And Tesla had way more employees too.

Agree w/ 13cobra. Listen to their last earnings call. Auto is not their long term focus. By the time other manufacturers catch up in autos they will be 3 moves down the chess board deep into other markets and segments. Tesla is a tech company much more than an Auto Manufacturer.

Did you see the debacle known as Cybertruck (origami themed)? Did you witness the concept of ‘hyperloop’ that was a Tesla with bolt on skates driving through a subway? Did you watch a YouTube video of the ‘self park’ feature inching along? Did you see what Tesla calls a submarine, or a flame thrower? You’re being duped, and regurgitating ‘tech’ company won’t change a circus act into Apple.

You believe those quartet reports?
why do you think Elon was so stressed during the virus. They did not have the cash to stay closed. They’ve lost at least $710 million so far this year.

You're a fool if you think the official filings with the SEC are off by more than a rounding error. The market itself is based on accurate information. If it weren't, the market would have crashed and burned to the ground many, many years ago.

The CFO would be going to prison if they were lying about having $8B in cash and short term investments. BTW, I think you're confusing cash and short term investments on hand versus market cap or stock price fluctuations. Further, with a market cap of $260B they could EASILY issue more shares at $1400 each to fund whatever they want.

Which is why Elon is a bigger fraud than Madoff. People will go to jail and roll on others for reduced sentencing.
Big money from China and the Mexican cartels to prop up value so Elon can get his bonuses.
