so you think I drive like a pussy? I have hundreds of videos of me racing my cars on the same junk.
The internet also says you will break cheap cast wheels too if you hit a pothole. That one is a myth too.

to each their own, but It is not quite as prevelant as you make it to be.
You missed an obvious point I was trying to make with “tracked car”.
People run them hot with no cooldown on tracks was my point.

I just can't imagine being so narrow minded that if something hasn't happened to you, that it can't happen.

Lots of people have cracked drilled rotors, and lots of people have broken shitty wheels. I'm guessing you have some cheap crappy wheels too since you bring that up lol. Just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean it's a myth and that it hasn't happened to other people.

Maybe I'll just keep my stock brakes and buy something else!

That's a wise decision, it's not worth $50 savings to end up with something thats actually a downgrade for your uses. Also if you're spending $$ on something that doesn't need to be replaced yet, are you really saving money?

Stainless lines and good brake fluid would be money much better spent.

This is exactly true, happens alot more than people know.

When it is time to upgrade look at DBA rotors, and some Hawk pads. Theres lots of options just i do not recommend anything on the lower scale.

Where did I say it "CANT" happen? I said it likely won't unless you are running the car VERY hard and not letting it cool down. IE: Running around road course a few laps. I think you are being narrow minded by not reading what I wrote and getting offended because someone disagrees with you.

Nope, both my Mustangs currently sport Forged wheels. I have also run shitty wheels and honestly my shitty wheels were pretty much always nicer for about 1/10 the money

I’m not offended so don’t flatter yourself.

You called it a myth and false except for track cars, completely ignoring the fact that many people drive just as hard on the street than at the track, and harder than many do on a track. Saying rotors can only fail at the track. Now you’re back peddling saying it can. So which is it?

You’re wrong and that’s all there is to it lol.

I'd like to think my comment was pretty clear. For those that have some sense of understanding can see the point I was making. The point was extended hard braking from high speeds with no cool down.
That being said, I cannot say I know anyone that is able to thrash their car harder and longer on public roads than they can on laps or so of a road course. If you have that kind of open area and lack of common sense to do so, then kudos to you. Which is exactly why your shit breaks.

This conversation is no more silly than the guys that claim you should only buy forged wheels because cheap wheels will crack.
I have never seen a set of drilled rotors crack from street driving. I have seen them crack on cars that were heavily tracked.

OP, do not let this comment make your decision. This is silly.
I cracked drilled Baer Decela rotors on my 02 GT on only street driving. They cracked from each drill point to the outside edge of the rotor after only about 15k miles.

interesting. So they didn't get hot from any kind of what would be considered extreme driving with no cool down?

Nope. Just normal daily driver business. They did get hot from normal freeway panic braking, but cool down times were normal. No repeated on/off/on braking like during track usage. I noticed it and immediately bought the cobra R brembo package. The cracks were still hairline, but it was on each and every outer drill hole to outer edge of the rotors.
