No problem, I think most auto parts stores carry it. I usually have a can on hand just in case lol
man for spray paint it matched well!

\Nice. Yeah its not a 100% match but once its on the car and gets dirty a few times its hard to tell a difference. It's pretty durable too. I haven't had anything powdered wrinkle in a few years cause i'm so impressed with it.

Update youve been waiting for....

Hit the dyno today. had some ups and downs but we are 90% there. all pulls are e85 and it was about 90°f, basically sea level.

one pull wastegates didnt open and made 907/880 at 30psi

fixed waste gates then made 783/788 at 20psi but we are running out of alternator so we stopped at 6500rpm. 17°timing, not sure of iat2 but i will be logging that next.

Car is good for under 6000 pulls so had so fun and holy shit does it set you back haha.

i will post videos and dyno charts tomorrow.

I'm surprised you didn't hurt it on that 30psi pull. The E85 likely helped.

I wouldn't go WOT past 5k until you get your fueling fixed. Lean is mean, until it pops.

What were the SAE numbers?

yea i was surprised too that everything held at 30psi hah

haven't driven the car since the dyno day. Ive been working with my tuner for a new alternator, probably KMJ 240amp.

Going to warranty repair mine j2fab then likely sell it. thing on has 500 miles on it.

Not sure on SAE numbers, I can look through the dyno sheets and see if they was recorded.

always happy to meet other local svt guys. It was quiet the under taking to make the parts i did. there are lots of scrape pieces lol.

For my first turbo build, im stoked how it did. Would i change things? absolutely but i love how it is now.

Well ive checked all i can with the J2fab alt and its still not charging.

I ordered a Kenneth Miley jr 240 amp that should be here in a week, going to throw it in while j2fab get warranty work. then do a side by side comparison of the 2 for voltage and testing.

Update...

New alternator comes tomorrow. I have checked and rechecked all connections, volts still drop to 12.5vdc during WOT.

Ill install the new alternator once I get it and update after data log.

Threw in another bellow to make sure hot side isnt too ridged. Ill ceramic coat it once i make the exhaust out the back.

KMJ 240 amp came in today. Took about 45 min to get it in with removing the coolant crossover. easy to top off the coolant system at the crossover.

Did a few pulls and lowest volts dropped to was 13.5vdc. Car went lean up top since we couldnt finish the tune. None the less this car is a monster and a lot of fun to drive. But none the less, back to the dyno i go haha.

Ill also be dropping my waste gate spring pressure from (2 springs "15.5psi") which was really 20psi, down to a single spring at 8psi so the boost controller can do its work.

J2fab will be RMA'd so it can be fixed. once i get it back i will do side by side comparison since its an easy swap. i will provide datalogs at that time as well.

Update:

swapped out waste gate springs from 15.5psi to 5psi, started tuning boost controller ti get me back up to 20psi, i was about to get to 21.9psi but having some issues getting a little lower, will need to play with it more.

Boost came on smoother amd car felt great getting more consistent pressure on the low/mid end.

was able to get about 5 pulls in, then the 6th pull in 4th gear felt great, until i noticed a sheriff on my ass who eventually pulled me over.

asked what i was doing, i explained that i built the car, he had me pop the hood and he took some pictures, being a car guy he let me go and said dont do freeway pulls in front of sheriff lol.

This was all about midnight last night with what I thought was an empty road to find the only other car was a sheriff that watched me leave him hahaha.
