I swore a number of years ago that I would never have an iPone. just couldn't get past the overhyped overpriced phones. I have an iMac, MacBook pro, have owned nothing but iPads when it comes to tablets but I drew the line at the iPhone. Then I got hearing aids. My current ones I can control volume and a couple of other things with my android phone (samsung galaxy S8) . This set can stream music, phone calls and other audio straight though my hearing aids if I use apple. I already do it with my iPad.

so now I am looking at finally moving to an iPhone. Probably the SE 2nd generation ... anybody have one? any regrets for getting that instead of a more expensive one?

I know many people who have an SE. it’s a great phone. I was like you, said I would never buy an iPhone, but after only getting about a little over a year out of my Samsung’s or other brands, I saw how well and long other people I knew kept their iPhones and decided to buy an iPhone 7. I had it over 2 years and just decided to get a different iPhone for the better camera. I have have my Xs for over a year now, it’s been great. My wife has had her X for 2 1/2 years and doesn’t want to upgrade she loves it so much.

You won’t regret getting the SE for the cost. It doesn’t have the fancy camera of the higher end iPhones but it still takes pretty decent photos.

I never wanted an iPhone. My favorite phone ever was my 09 N900 that did everything phones from in the years 13/14/15 did and more. However it did not have 4g. I tried the gs5 and hated it. Never worked right. Tried the G3 that was a good phone but I was on the wrong provider. Went back to the 5 yr old N900. People kept asking if I got a new phone. The 5 yr old nokia was more clear than the brand new top of the line phones.

Finally broke down though, I purchased the new I6 in late 14. Again people were asking did where I was calling from. Are you on a landline they asked. Clear phone calls, texts that work(that other thing with samsung that sucks, waiting for sms to go through or to receive) the iPhone works.

I understand others may love the samsung and have had them for years with no issues. Great, after my s5 and the note 7 fiasco no thank you!

I have a 6S and it links to my hearing aids. Pretty cool tech.

Blah, a phone is a phone. I know people who have had issues with iphones just the same as samsungs. I'm use to samsung, so I stick with it. I have a S8 that's hit the 3 year old mark and is still flawless. Never a glitch, no problems, I've never dropped it once, etc.

My galaxy does all the things you mention for my hearing aids . I would not ever go iphone.
The Note looks amazing and I like the screen. However I've had iphones since 2009 and they work. And Apple is pretty good with their software updates. I bought a Samsung Galaxy table in 2014 and they never really issued a software upgrade for it. It still works but I can't install any new software on it. There's a hack to upgrade it but it sounded complicated. Just wish they had at least supported the device for a few years.

Didn’t realize we had so many deaf guys on here :D

I’m rocking an iPhone XR and compared to the Androids I’ve had, iPhone’s just work. I personally will never go back to Android again.

I am jealous of you guys being able to stream straight to your HA’s. I wear a Cochlear Nucleus 6 on my left ear and older Phonak on my right. Only the Cochlear can stream through Bluetooth, but with a separate device. My neckloop does the job, so I can’t really complain.

I have a Samsung Note and an iPhone 11 ProMax (I really love the camera). I almost never use the Note. I don't like the Android software, nor the Note functions. That's in part because I've owned iPhone for more years than I can count, so I'm very familiar with them. I love their simplicity of use and reliability. And, I like how the iPhone pairs well with my MacBook Pro 16". Lastly, I love Apple's support. I just worked with an Apple rep yesterday to figure out how to find and delete some LogMeIn leftover files that were causing me a start-up issue. She didn't hang up until we figured it out (together). For all of these reasons, and the fact that you have other Apple devices, I'd say jump on the SE. You'll be happy with it.

P.S. - I love the size of my iPhone. I could never go back to anything smaller.

iPhone is ok. Look at buying one on Groupon. Great deals on that site and best part is no money given to Apple.
lol I checked after I read this because I agree they can have great deals. Not this time, Best Buy is 200 bucks cheaper for the 256gb version than the 699 Groupon deal

maybe its a hearing aid brand thing. Mine will turn the volume up and down and that’s it. No streaming at all.

Just went from a 7 to an 11, so much better. My wife upgraded at Christmas and I kept my little 7 cause I didn't need a laptop in a phone. Now I look back at how I had such a little screen for so long.

I have a iPhone 8+ and a Note 8 currently (work/personal) and prefer my Note hands done. Just never liked the Apple menu/nav system.

Picking up a Note 20 Ultra shortly since my Note 8 is all sorts of broken and cracked. I dont use cases on any of my phones. Pay the price sometimes.

The technical differences are really not even worth noting being everything is so similar.

In 2020, phone selection is pure subjective personal preference and nothing else.

Being in the industrial maintenance/controls, I’m hard on phone. My iPhones have held up so much better than any of my android phones.
