6. ZL1 1Le. I would do pulley and headers maybe H/C
Pro: Light mods make this into track monster that will outdo 350 in every way.
Con: Its a camaro. Also would spend most of its life on street which seems like a waste.

I have driven most of the cars you have on your list on a road course(Mosport)

I would pick up either the ZL1 1LE or the GT350 and the only upgrade you need to make is switching the brake fluid to Endless RF650 or Castrol SRF. You don't need any further modifications to either of these cars to make it a track monster as they already are fast as hell. Furthermore, instead of modifying it further, I would try and find local HPDEs and get as much seat time as possible (with instruction). You will probably not exceed the car's limit for quite some time. Instead of mods, just buy extra sets of tires and brake pads.

@Klaus if i had your money, id throw mine in the trash.

Now... post some videos of that gt500 putting a beating on people already!

Ha. Sadly have not had any takers for the gt500 yet. There is dude nearby with a built Camaro but I beat his ass in the HC and it would not even be close in the Shelby.

Just a thought:

You’ve got the whole front engine, V8, forced induction brute covered with your current GT500.

As a change of pace and if a C7 ZR1 is in your budget/radar....

Why not wait a little and see exactly what the C8 Z06 is going to offer and at what price point.

Will likely be phenomenal performance and offer up a completely different experience than what your used to. Great change of pace for a weekend toy.

And if, when released, it does nothing for you than go find a gen V viper.

As much as I love the C6 and C7 ZR1s, my vote is for the LS7. That engine is a monster. A centennial Z06 has the ZR1 carbon ceramic brake package. Or maybe look at a Gen V.

Agree on the ZR1 version of the Z06. I *almost* bought one of these a couple of months ago that had heads done by RPM. I am kicking myself for not. I think these will end up being the most valuable of C6s.

I have also been looking to pull the trigger on a new weekend toy thinking Covid would create a buyers market.

Man was I wrong about that. :(

It did for about a month. That’s about it. That when I bought my Powerstroke. Car lots where I am at are all low on inventory. Prices online are ridiculous for anything as well.

My cousin stopped by last night on their new Honda side by side. They had to go out of state to get it and had to pay MSRP because they’re so hard to come by right now. Apparently, don’t Honda ATV/UTV dealer’s are having to shut the doors because they can’t get any inventory according to my cousin. I haven’t logged into that for myself.

GT350 or Viper.

While I can't speak to driving either, the Viper’s silhouette just commands attention.

Unless I get lucky and find an Great buy, my new plan is to wait until late fall/winter when the Gov. has no more free money to give out and the car market swings in the other direction.

65 Backdraft cobra with a blower. That will keep you at full attention with both hands on the wheel.

None of the above.

Toys are great and you have one. I would look for something that's more refined, classy, but can still get down.
