Two different garages. First pic with the stacker lift is just for storage/parking. Metal building.

Large garage with two doors has the 2 post lift at the large door. Small door to the side has 3 parking spots. Pic of front of the old truck is the backhalf of the large garage with 2 bays back there.

Ah, okay, now that makes sense. Looking at the first two photos, I was trying to correlate the roof pitch of the garage to what I was seeing in the photos and they didn't jive. Now I know why. LOL.

What a quality thread! Wish I’d have known of it last year when we built our shop. I’ll dig up some pictures here in a bit. I’m going to borrow some ideas for sure as I keep modding it as I do with everything haha

edit pics added below. Had the shop and concrete done and maybe half the gravel done by our general as good will for taking so freakin long. Did all the electrical myself, most of the gravel, work bench etc. it’s been fun

Nice job on your garage. Huge size. Congrats, too, on being able to do your own electrical work. That saved you a bit of coin.

Thanks Bob, I went as big as the county would let me (30x36). Luckily my wife’s dad is handy as hell and helped guide me with electrical. Did a lot of reading for sure. And you’re right, I was less in materials for everything - interior and exterior lights, conduit, outlets, tools, clips, etc. for less than having just the sub panel installed. I did pull a permit so I could have the county come check my work too, our county is pretty good to work with so that was nice too

Haha nice! We were pretty fresh out of college when we got the jeep for my wife and she was driving 45 miles a day round trip for work. I obviously wanted to get her in a Ford but the escape was so much more expensive and the Jeep had the 10/100k warranty. It’s actually been a great little car for us. Usually it’s parked outside but this was right before a nasty storm lol
Nice, we house an F150, Mustang and Jeep also ;)

Yeah I couldn’t get my wife out of her Wrangler if I wanted to.

That’s how everyone out here does the post frame buildings. All the treated lumber has a 20 or 30 year warrant (can’t remember) and I’ve seen dozens of older buildings holding up so I didn’t really give it much thought haha

Hoping to start mine this fall

Tearing down the metal arch building on my new property, extending the existing 20x50 pad to 40x50. Gonna do a pole barn build, studded and insulated, a bar and man cave

I'm afraid to see the bill lol when its done

We put a offer on this one. It's priced high and the owner has money.

But it's makes sense rather than tear my single garage down and build a 3 stall. That would be 1000 sq feet and this shop is 1800.

It also has heat/ac, office and a bathroom.
