I have to admit I truly enjoy this site. Not because of the car stuff but the characters here. don't take that as a bad thing because we all have different personalities and that's what makes it fun. But I figured the one thing that we would all agree on is the concept of America and what she means to us.

It is truly disturbing to see some people cheering that there are federal officers with no identification beating on people that are protesting. Now I'm a True Believer that if you break the law you must deal with the consequences. But that's not always the case and like it or not we all know it. One person being mistreated thrown in a van and taken away only to later be released and told they did nothing wrong it's not acceptable. Whether you believe in whatever it is a person is protesting or not is not Material. What is is the fact that some of you are okay with them being beaten for no good reason at all.

Additionally a lot of folks don't like athletes expressing their political stance. I have no issue if you don't like it it's your call. What I do find funny is the hypocrisy you exhibit by saying athletes should not express their political views when you turn around and do the same thing. So are you suggesting that only politicians should speak about politics?

Some of you guys are such a joke and you can't even see it.

I'm sure a lot of you are going to call me names that I promised you would never say to my face. That's fine by me. But at the end of the day look in the mirror and have an honest conversation with yourself. You can lie to the world, but if you can lie to yourself then you have issues far greater than the ones you are pointing out about our society.

1. The officers are identified by department patches and police insignias.

2. What they are doing is legal. EDIT: Backed up and now deemed legal by the court.
Feds clash with Portland protesters again, hours after judge denied Oregon's request to restrict agents' actions

3. These aren't protesters so stop calling them protesters. They are Marxists, anarchists, anti-cop, anti-white criminals that are not going to stop until they are crushed. Who is going to stop them if the police will not? I want the rioting to stop and since I won't be allowed to go out there and stop them then that means I have to rely on law enforcement. Why would I cheer on rioters and side with them when police are utilizing laws on the books in order to try and catch criminals? All because the people being arrested don't like the tactics and want me to have sympathy for them? No thanks.

4. Athletes can talk political views all they want. What people here are sick of is every facet of society being politicized and being forced to take a side that alienates us. We want sports to be sports and remain neutral. They don't have to take anyone's side yet they choose to alienate half the country. If athletes want to share their views on Twitter or to the media then they have every right to and we can agree or disagree with them there, but we watch sports to get away from the problems with society and politics, not have them fused together.

5. I don't have to call you names and whatever I said here I would say to you face because that is called having a civil discussion. Something Americans need to learn how to do again.

Most of the people on this site are probably middle aged and up, just the demographic for people who have the time and money to buy toy cars. That said, most like myself have lived through the doldrums of the 70's. We had basically lost a war, every outlet was preaching the inevitability of global communism. We cowered as the Japanese showed us how to make things, the Middle East showed us how fragile our energy supplies were, and entertainment was the inevitability of nuclear war if we didn't back down.
Petty third world countries held our citizens and our military burned in the desert trying to rescue them.
One day a ray of sunshine bored through the overcast, Ronald Reagan was elected. Love him or hate him, there is no denying that he woke us up and got the nation moving. He made the hard calls, spent the money (nearly bankrupting us) and drove the Soviets down. America had once more gained the high ground, we had shown that our grit and belief in freedom would conquer all.
This went on for a while, it survived Bill Clinton because he was basically just nibbling at the edges of progressiveness. Bush came along and had a major wake up call from the ME that unified the country again. All the while the Progressives were getting steamed that nobody was listening to them. Obama came in and the progressives cheered that it was finally their time. It wasn't, Obama didn't do shit for his supporters. Now comes Trump and the progressives are in a lather. How could this Cro-Magnon beat the sainted Hillary? Their painful boil that has been growing every time they make a loan payment on their useless college degree only got worse when the country went into lock down. Now they are out, BLM, Antifa, Queer Nation, DNC, etc throwing a major hissey fit.
Most of the members remember the shit times and don't want to go back there. There is no good reason for this to be going on. Some cops killed a man as casually as you would change a light bulb. They have been charged with the crime, the system works.
What has happened since is orchestrated chaos to bring the nation down. So when law enforcement uses laws that Obama put in place to drag these people in, we don't get in a huff. If the Feds decide to machine gun the entire crowd.....that would be wrong but I could get over it.

Yeah we will need a 17 page report on how rioting and burning cities down is ok, but federal officers protecting federal property is not.
While you’re at it why don’t you write an additional report on why BLM doesn’t care about the black on black crime that is destroying the black community

Paragraph 2 - is a lie and misrepresentation of the facts.

Paragraph 3 - athletes are payed to perform a service. That service does not include voicing or demonstrating personal beliefs or values during the performance of such service. On company time is not the ttime. They have opportunities outside of work to have their voices heard.

Name calling is a waste of time and accomplishes nothing.

Glad to see this is staying (mostly) civil. Would love to give some honest replies to some of these when I get a chance.

Hey these idiots in those areas voted for this so let them live with it, period. They start crying and howling again tell them to shut up and live with it. You want it to change then it is up to you to make sure it happens do not look to the Federal Government for an answer since you caused this yourself. Then and only then you would see them no longer vote that party (Dem) line like they do over and over and over again as the people from there would have their fill with this looney out of touch moronic leftest policies.

Do yourself a huge favor and stop watching the MSM news. All I see in your OP is their talking points. Realize that almost everything you are hearing is scripted with a pre determined narrative. Think for yourself. Get information from different sources.

I completely agree and have felt this way all along, they are paid company employees on company time on private property. Save it for when they are off the clock on their own time.

I also feel the same way about employees of restaurants and businesses. I don’t want to go to Taco Bell or stop and shop and see it in my face on an employees uniform.

follow the company’s dress code and save it for when you punch out.

Let's see, looter and rioters are not protesters.
As far as athletes voicing their political opinion. If I pay ticket price to watch a football game. Im not paying to see some millionaire crybabies opinion, I'm paying to watch football. If they can't accept that then people will quit paying.
Although I show as a new member, I have been lurking for some years.
I'm gonna guess that liberal views will get very little traction. Certainly not on a page dedicated to 20k cash cars.
