I'm pretty sure I read that the majority of people who recovered noted that their sense of smell and taste got better once they recovered so hopefully you have that to look forward to if that is the case. Go get a nice juicy filet once you get better and test out the theory.

Get well and be safe! Don't let it kick your ass anymore than it is.

OP didnt tell us how he may have gotten it.

My wife is a doctor and swabs positive tests all day fml

technically I started showing symptoms last Friday and wasn’t tested till Monday so today would be a week. Only symptoms I have now are Just a few headaches here and there And some nausea And of course the taste and smell.

Same here minus the loss of taste and smell. Was told it was walking pneumonia. Two weeks later my oldest son came down with the same thing...then 3 weeks little my younger.

Get well OP.
Same thing happened with my wife. She was sicker then she has felt in years (gets walking pneumonia/ flu every year). Couldnt get out of bed for at least 3 days and had lost her sense of smell and taste for a few days and barely wanted to eat because of it. Her Dr. diagnosed her with the flu, and told her to have me stay in separate part of the apartment (1st he has ever done that), but the meds helped only a little bit. Then gave her prednisone and something else and it helped clear it up. But it took 3 weeks. It was not like the other times she got sick.
(she also has an odd auto immune issue plus asthma) (I never got sick)
So we are thinking its probable she had it back then. She takes the train into CC Philly every day for work so that is likely where she got it.

Either way. OP. Hope it all works out. Hope your wife and kids stay safe and dont get it from you(or from your wife). Take that honey and plenty of fluids and get some sun.

Took awhile but I have my smell and taste back. Probably the most unnerving thing ever to not taste something. You also don't notice how much smell tells you about whats going on around you. Was kinda nice, I wasn't missing the diesel smell for awhile.

If you have sleep apnea I hope you have a CPAP machine! One thing helping is running CPAP forcing air into you at night or when lying down. I don't use the water reservoir but run dry air and it keeps lungs clear...I'm 69, diabetic..and as of two days ago broke a tooth that I can't get capped for a while..I live alone. Oh- and a hurricane is coming....
