If you want to sell a Cobra R, I say post a thread here, the SVTP market section, BAT (Bring a Trailer), and some of the collector car magazines.

You should have a few excellent pictures with a mention of paper work and history.

I have posted cars and rare guns in all of these places. They all got sold, but one took 6 months.

I think it is great time to post it. You will get a lot of lowball offers that you ignore. A good offer will come forward.

Rare guns, here?
I've got a 1750's Dutch Fusil Musket I've been thinking of marketing, but on the SVT forum, who knew :D

Hello,
relatively new to this group as far as posting. I picked up a 95R recently and am in love! I am looking for a 2000 R if anyone has or knows of one available. Im okay with some miles, not looking to leave in the garage, just all original and documented/binder.
thanks in advance!
Shane

Well I was fortunate enough to find my 00R! It got picked up and should be here tomorrow if all goes well.
Beyond excited! 00R#256 joining 95R #218

You guys are not taking this seriously. I have seen low-mile 1994-2000 Cobra cars get good money on auctions and private sales. I say the value will increase.

The R-cars get no love which is directly due to their rarity and lack of ad sales. I agree as the Fed MMT has sent most interest rates to near zero.

I say a good Cobra-R is equal to the price of gold and silver. The car is more fun to own.

Well I had been stuck on getting a 00r for quite a while. A 95r popped up and I grabbed it, figured Id enjoy it, still undervalued for the most part for what they are and eventually a 00 would be found. I was looking at the ebay car in texas, I spoke to the gentleman that owned it, as well as his ex-wife that listed it on ebay. She got it out of the divorce. I was talking to her directly, it had the binder and all stock parts and was hoping to get a decent deal on it considering the lack of description and photos. I woke up from waiting for more pics to see that some one hit buy it now. It was then that I had to find a car before they got crazy crazy. I have a dealer that I got my 95r from that I continually asked for a 00r and he had a few collector that had multiples and would consider selling 1 but for stupid money...he kept saying "you may of missed the boat..." Finally he calls me and says you lucky SOB, one of my customers that bought a 00r from me with 1200 miles wants to sell it and I told him I had a guy, so here's your chance. I jumped on it, it is beyond clean, still has the window sticker in the window. odometer is currently at 1299 and it is to arrive tomorrow. I asked the driver to please send me pics of it on the lift gate. I am so happy and beyond proud to own these 2 cars..

its here! I did not know what to expect. My daily driver is a 2019 Challenger redeye, but this thing feels like something on another level...spun the tire through 3 gears...smiling ear to ear..View attachment 1653068View attachment 1653069View attachment 1653070
Fantastic! Congrats on scoring the venerable 2000 Cobra R!

If the car is still on it’s original tires, I recommend pulling them to preserve them. They are simply not available any more. Spinning them will ruin irreplaceable tires.

I know! I watched your youtube video and just messaged you. Im about to order a set of wheels from LMR...but I am not seeing 265/40/18 available and it looks like they offer NT05 in 275/35/18. Any issues with rubbing? speedo calibration?
Thank you

No issues whatsoever, but they are actually skinnier than the OEM 265 tires that came on the car. 285s would be about the same.

I would suggest checking the DOT markings on your tires to ensure they are the original tires. If so, I totally agree with storing them for the future.

What do the dot markings show? Im 98% sure its the original tires

The markings show when that specific tire was manufactured. Do a google search for DOT tire date codes and you’ll get the help you need to check yours.

When I bought my 95R I was told that the owner did not think the original tires where still on it, but when I checked after the car was delivered they were indeed the originals.
