Not finding exactly what I want on Amazon.

My outdoor shed, I want to put a motion activated alarm system inside. No subscription service needed. Something, small and simple. Sirern / bright light. Would love a remote of some type to arm and disarm. Possible a wifi cam that would alert my phone.

Any recommendations? Not interested in spending over 100.

Get a ring. The monthly monitoring cost is far less than any other and their hardware and cameras are awesome. I had adt. Ring is far superior.

Edit: I read past your price point. Still suggest ring though.

Ring. Hands down. Simple to set up and easy to use. Initial investment can be a little intimidating but monthly monitoring is very cost effective.

Do you have good wifi signal outside?

This all the Ring stuff is a waste without WiFi. Probably still work but the notifications and stream is what makes it a premium product. Just paying for an over priced motion sensor light without it.

Not really interested in any subscription type svc for a shed.

I used to have one that you wall mounted. Bout the size of a Pringle can. Had a fob like arm and disarm switch. When tripped it would shine a bright light and an extremely loud siren. That was 10 years ago I paid $29 at Sam's. Cant find anything like that. It was perfect.

Got these for my parents for Christmas. No subscription, no wires, motion activated and sends alerts. They seem to work well. After the initial purchase that includes a camera and hub, additional cameras can added.

I am in the process of looking for a security system for my house. little more involved than what you are looking for but I am going to go wired for the most part. see below

wireless is ok but all a thief will have to do is wait for a good rain storm and boom he is inside and you won't know about it because the wireless is next to useless in the rain. esp. a rather heavy downpour

Ring has been hacked a dozen times and you HAVE to keep your shit on the web no local storage for you. all in all I wouldn't have one in my house.

Not sure where you are getting your information from, but I've never had rain impact my wifi. Also, ring is quite secure, but if you would rather store locally that's your preference. For 90 percent of users out there, ring is amazing.

I've never had rain, even heavy rain, affect my WiFi, either. o_O

I have 5 Ring cameras on the exterior of my house. WiFi. Love them. I like the motion detection notifications and neighbor alerts. The Ring doorbell lets me communicate directly with anyone who pushes the doorbell if I'm not home. I get to see who it is and talk to them. That's been very handy a few times. I removed my old wired HD cameras with their cumbersome wires and local hard drive. For the actual home alarm system, I continue to use the original wired setup with monitoring. I don't intend on replacing that with a Ring system. Don't need to.

@Outlaw99, I hope you find something that does what you're looking for. I can see that you're really looking for something very basic, and cheap. I'll try to find some time today to search for what's available and if I find anything, I'll post it in this thread.

Rain will impact satellite like Directtv or hughsnet satellite internet service.

Go to bosnia and scoop up some landminds.

Arlo pro 2/3 is decent if you can get enough wifi to the shed. No alarm (that I know of)but you'll get notifications on your phone

Get a Boxer or Shepherd and a fenced yard. I use adt that records with motion. I think it records all the time and keeps when movement is detected plus the 20 seconds before the mov memt.

Motion activated flood lights always make me stop window shopping for new wives after 1 am.

OK Bozos, stop clowning around.

I have a Eufy doorbell and 2 wireless cameras.

The wireless cameras need to be charged every 6 months I guess. No subscription required, it saves all of the events in it's local memory. When I get updates on my phone, I look to see what it was, then delete it if it's not important. I don't know how much it will actually hold, but so far I haven't got to that point.

They seem quite a bit faster/reliable than my sisters ring, and I like that I can dial in the motion detection around where I want it to watch.

They were cake to setup/install.
