Don’t know how much attention this will get, noticed mostly powerstroke stuff on here and I know these engines have virtually no aftermarket. I inherited a 05 Harley Davidson f-250 with the triton v10. (selling not an option) and it just doesn’t have enough get up and go. I have done some research and found some guys running 07-09 gt500 pistons, would obviously need 2 sets. And the crank is forged, just need to find a shop with the facilities to balance. Head work shouldn’t be a problem, so cams are really my only concern right now. Do not want to do a regrind. There was a guy on here a while back that ground blanks for these engines, but that was in 2012 and he is now banned. Thank you in advance for any info/ help!

The ROI just isn't there. Just buy some N2O if you want more juice.
Yes I know. Unfortunately if you want to make decent power (I’d say) 500-600 wheel then you have to spend a fortune. The money isn’t really the factor for me, of course it’s not gonna be a super high dollar build but I know it will cost a pretty penny. I have even thought about throwing a 6.0 in her, but that would be just as much as buying a 6.0 truck itself. That being said, I really just want a rowdy 6.8 to be different. Thank you all for the input!

Did they ever make a blower kit for the 6.8?
They did! Whipple made one and I’m pretty sure KB did as well. I would really like to go with the whipple kit and some boost cams, plus gt500 rods/pistons. But the bad thing is, I can’t find any info on the kits. Much less one for sale!

Thats too bad because i think that would be an awesome kit. Make for one hell of a fun V10.

5 star tuning has a program for the V10 , and reprogram the trans . Lower gears will also wake it up .
I have a V10, 5 speed superduty on 35's , with 4:30 gears . Much better than the 3:73 gear they usually have.

All the V10 kits were non-intercooler. You'd be better off custom fabbing a turbo kit.
Yes, I did hear that the KB very hot. So much so it was almost not worth it. I have thought about going the turbo route (twins) I have a 2v engine that I could start the mock-up on. Didn’t know the whipple kit was not intercooled, thank you!

I'm not sure, but they were fairly low boost. The 6.8L crank is a split pin design, and not nearly as tough as a 5.4L crank.
That split pin design makes it so hard to get balanced!!! Nobody has enough weights *facepalm*

Yes I have heard that! Also an explanation for mine feeling sluggish/lazy would be that I am on 22x12s with 31s. As far as I know that is too low for fords computer to recognize. (Dads truck) rear end was opened up at some point so I’m not sure if my gears are stock or not. I should be able to find out. How do you like the 5spd?

Definitely a custom twin turbo. Maybe some Borgwarner twin 366s? Either way don’t go too big.
Have you called Comp or another cam shop?
The beauty of twins is you don’t need a huge cam, actually closer to stock the better here.
I’d think Comp or another shop could regrind relatively easily to custom specs to have great low end and a broad torque curve, think EcoBoost.
Other option is that if a Mustang or truck front cover or FEAD fits, any of the Vortech, Paxton, Procharger or even Torque Storm should be able to be adapted.
There may even be a crank driven potential like Chris Alston Chassis or others:(Chris Alston's Chassisworks)
Cool project man, good luck.

Searched for 3 years for a manual trans , super cab 4x4 .
I love the manual , I am old school and believe trucks have a manuals .
